  1. I didn't fell that one far too nice a shadow!
  2. Wasn't sure where to post this, but worth a show:001_smile:
  3. Heathen alert!
  4. Nice contrast in those pics mate!
  5. It is good to see so many positive posts on here, I think this saw will be very popular as people give it a try, just remember they do get better with use.
  6. Sweet bike mate, they go on forever these do!
  7. Just remember the little trick I showed you to save on front tire wear...Keep it in the air at every opportunity!
  8. http://www.for.gov.bc.ca/hfp/publications/00012/3-Dost-PowersawEmissions.pdf
  9. Nice find, they are lovely! Do we have a 'Show us you billhook' thread? I have a few that I have collected over the years, they are beautiful tools.
  10. Hmm... 50 press ups now, sign the petition 10 times, gargle Aspen whilst repeating the mantra ( I shall use Aspen exclusively from now on), & to a man we will forgive. But we need a video as proof! Oh, & you have to use it in your scooter for a month as well!
  11. Good post mate, it's just common sense to sign it. Also dear readers consider as pointed out before on this thread, ethanol levels in pump fuel are rising, & our saws do not like the stuff long term, so in time to come we may find it our best option to use aspen ( I do already) rather than repair bills, note Husky endorse it's use, & Stihl have their own version. The health implications are being researched, but it is early days, & some countries it is required that you use it in hand tools.
  12. I have to say my 07 truck has too, fingers crossed!
  13. A fine post & reminder to people, it is a no brainer, even to those who don't use Aspen, come on lads & lasses, it takes but a minute!
  14. Good heads up, & thank you for giving it at this late hour.

In your mind maybe, but in the real world of cutters & climbers, both sides of the pond, these dols & echos are gaining respect for what they are, reliable, long lasting well made saws, even if they lose out on the scales of performance & weight ( by very small margins). Not only that, but the autotune problems are well documented, & the field operator cant work on them if you get a problem, so its back to the dealer in ever decreasing circles. In the real world, are you a cutter for a living?
  16. If the parts are rare, best let it go.
  17. It will improve a lot with use, they take a bit of time to bed in & loosen up.
  18. Result! I'm waiting for my saw to be run in completely before I use my little mill, can hardly wait, I have some nice spalted beech, yew, & laburnam to get planked up.
  19. Or cattle trucked. It will be interesting to hear what caused it to let go, 'tis an unfortunate thing to have happen on a new saw.
  20. It would be interesting to see such a program made, I would imagine the producer could find it a headache and joy in one, trying to filter out palatable & informative viewing from a bunch of rough R'sed don't suffer fools gladly semi lucid ultra sensitive miscreants the likes of which frequent these hallowed pages...but I digress, Mr Bolam, I think, is the perfect candidate, & offers a very realistic & holistic example of your common & garden tree worker, & the complexity or (lack thereof) of the daily challenges we face!

Sorry Troll, but your full of it!
  22. From what I can find out, most of this stolen stuff is away abroad in a shipping container asap. Sorry to hear of your loss.
  23. Jeez mate, that's a rough one, I hope you get sorted double quick, I'm off for a cup of tea & jam doughnut now, well, I was!
  24. My 346 has been on Aspen for years, it's fine mate.

The First Woman On The Moon.... "Houston, we have a problem." What? "Never mind" What's the problem? "Nothing" Please tell us? "You know what the problem is."
