  1. Here is yours I believe David, https://www.waterways.org.uk/waterways/waterways_l'>https://www.waterways.org.uk/waterways/waterways_l And the home page: https://www.waterways.org.uk/ I edited as I had the wrong link in the first one, now corrected.
  2. I have a contract with a local/ national waterways authority, they have their own ground based crew & also a flat bottomed craned dredger, I undertake works that they are not qualified for. The waterways are inspected by their workers, the managers & any trees down cleared by the appropriate methods. Any standing, deemed dangerous are tpo checked etc, then I go in. They do rely to some extent on public calling in with information, as employees can't be everywhere all the time, & I myself keep an eye on & report problems I come across. Trees & limbs in the water are dealt with on a scale of urgency, If they are obstructing traffic, or blocking the infrastructure they are prioritized, like everything else these things are to some extent governed by financial constraints..
  3. I would scoff it, with loads of tommy K & mustard, yummy!
  4. Well I must say, I take my hat off to Richard, 'Timberwolf Sales', I think he has done a fantastic job on this thread, he has given good info, straight talk and good humor..:thumbup1:

    Jokes???

Check out this road rage incident, trust me, it is not what you would expect! LiveLeak.com - Road Rage - Trust me, this is not the outcome you were expecting
  6. It was a most enthusiastic use of them, highly commendable...
  7. Good luck... My take on the subject, cats should wear bells if allowed to roam free, it distresses me to see them killing wild birds, they are not part of the food chain but a born killer let loose on wildlife by irresponsible owners...the times I see clients with bird food tables, encouraging the wildlife into their gardens, who also own cats that hunt. Or who have to try and prevent neighbor's cats from hunting in their gardens.

    New Saw

From what I have read on these saws you made a good choice, I'm after onemyself:001_smile:
  10. I like long and low, yours is a classic! Blinking fast too! My tastes in bikes covers all spectrums, but a bike that is beyond the norm of any type rings my bell. Sent from my bling phone with great dexterity.
  11. My sentiments entirely, it must be gutting to have this happen.
  12. That does sound very strong on price.
  13. You will settle, you need to to be efficient long term, make a tick list if you are going to bed with things running in your mind.
  14. Lovely looking machine there Timberwolf!
  15. I was looking at it, they are a pussy cat to ride, no frantic gear changes, or power band as such, just a heavy seamless run of torque that overwhelms your mind if you open it up, at any revs, they peak in both power & torque at about 6000rpm. If you double up on the base gasket they soften a bit, & will rev out higher, (with a wiseco piston for lightness). I did a lot of enduros on mine like this, but felled more trees racing than I did in the day job!
  16. I used to race one, wish I never sold it but hey ho....it was a great bike in the Weston beach race, power everywhere, & the speed down the straight was just outrageous with tall gearing. It is a dream bike for me to get another, but the right one will pop up.
  17. I'm looking for a road legal cr500, they are a lovely bike, yours does look great.
  18. Superb post, I too wish them all the best with this, they have listened to the trades and responded.
  19. Well dealt with, He is going to love those spikes, they are superb!
  20. <p>Hello mate, I will be working, I have to repair Rosco's grinder, but I appreciate the offer, let's get a meal sorted asap!</p>

  21. Aha, neither, If your after buying him a present, good luck in your choice, if it's for yourself you could do worse then Echo, as suggested.
  22. The Stihl 150 is a lovely saw in use, once the exhaust has been modded, which is a five minute job, but the plastics are fragile, & tool strop loop too. The Echo is better built, & more durable, also responding well to exhaust mods, my the chain brake requires regular cleaning or it can get awkward to use, as it is mounted on one side only, so can flex. If your going for a larger top handle saw, seriously consider the Echo 360, it is not that much more expensive, & comes with 14 inch bar, I bought a Sugi 12 inch carving bar for light pruning, & slip the 14 inch stock bar on for take down. The Echo takes a few tanks to run in, & likes a warm up before use, it is a high quality saw.
  23. Burns hot & fairly fast, it's ok in a stove, on an open fire not so good. Not a great commercial firewood, but it will keep you warm.

    2 new echo's

There are, going on other threads here, quite a few people who consider these saws as inferior the the big 2, or as a 'poor man's saw', they are not, the build is as good or better than the S&H machinery, I think in a year or so they will be seen as a main stream option, or even preference, attitudes are slow to change, (Hence my mentioning torpor). About time for a little shake up in the industry imo, far too many cases of saws not being of a good quality. Remember the tests done by Stihl on chinese saw handles breaking, as compared to their own, well much as I like the saw, I have seen plenty of ms150's with handles broken & not from abuse! Top handle saws with strop clips breaking, potentially dangerous in itself. Husky saw problems abound too. The list of gripes, failures & bad service goes on... Rant over!

    2 new echo's

Here's an interesting video, the Echo is not run in, brand new, & these saws like to bed in, also the wood gets smaller every cut. Bear in mind a 2 year pro warranty, & a price of £576 inc at Forest & arb. Saw will take a 24 inch bar.
