  1. Bloody good post mate, this subject gets swept under the carpet by so many in all walks of society, & depression is debilitating. I know a lady who for years has denounced anyone suffering with it, thinks it doesn't exist! Guess what... for the last couple of months she has been miserable, tired etc, & has been diagnosed as a sufferer, how the worm turns!
  2. Simply stunning work...had to look a couple of times... I hope you get over that illness quick,
  3. That is most likely your fault on the machine, try Cautrac, they are in colchester & are good people for bits. Cautrac | Tracked Dumpers | Leading Construction Machines & Parts Supplier
  4. They are concentrating on policing towns, so the cop told me when I got hit, not the resources for the rural areas, in Essex at least. Now watch me get a speeding ticket tomorrow...
  5. Sorry to hear this, these people know their targets, & will gain access in difficult circumstances, they are a professional, organised network of thieves, it's about time the powers that be concentrated on breaking them, and dishing out severe punishment.
  6. Thanks Spruced, jolly decent of you!
  7. They used to sell them in Landy shops, I have one more you can have, & will have a looksee to if there are more for sale.
  8. I love it that you still have the axe & wedges up top mate, nearly brought a tear to my eye!
  9. That looks a lovely bit of kit, got a link?
  10. If it's UC you have you can live & work with it, keep on top of it & you will be fine, if you get the murmurings of an attack respond asap. It can take a time to get the hang of dealing with it, but most do. I have lived & worked with it for years, & very rarely has it got in the way of work. You just have to learn to manage it, look into diet, the meds, avoiding long term stress, & try to keep a positive attitude, it really does have an impact.
  11. I was going to say that, so I'm double sulking! Right I'm over it, got my name in....Liros Coral, anyone else with this suggestion is copying me!!
  12. I'm not a mousse fan myself, but horses for courses, mostly I just carry a spare tube & some levers & spanners, all wrapped & strapped out the way, but I mostly do green lanes & the odd trip to the welsh mountains etc, were I competing regularly I would use them. Stevie, if you get stuck pm me the tyre sizes on your tyre walls & I will get some super duper tubes your way, any old biker will fit them for a couple of tins of beer.
  13. Ebay is ok for an inner tube, check the tyre size, type it in looking for a heavy duty inner tube, Maxxis are good, but any mainstream manufacturer will be ok, or a good bike/ tyre shop will do it for you if your new to tyre changing,it's a doddle with good levers & a bit of lube, but dont use washing up liquid, the salt will rot your rims.
  14. That does look like a nice little motor, if it were near me I would be off for a gawp at it.
  15. Countryside = minimal policing, especially at night, from the horses mouth. I hope this kit gets found.
  16. Well, no pics on this post, but bear with me.. I had to work the weekend, & needed a headache tablet, so hooked what I thought was soluble paracetemol out of the truck..plink fizz..big swallow... and OMG! In my haste & lack of glasses, I had just necked two still bubbling milton tablets. Now this had a most profound and immediate effect, the headache was relegated to memories distant. My eyes were out on stalks, I could not breath, & proceeded to emit gasses of a noxious nature. After what seemed a few minutes of burbling & fizzing I managed to haul in enough control of my body to get to my feet, recover some resemblance of self composure, & took in my surroundings... my colleague looked like something very spooky & out of this world had just taken place, he was hit by projectile milton, baked beans & what I suspect was some bacon & eggs. It took me a good while to recover, & when I got home I was accused of skyving off & going swimming, I stunk like a Butlins deckchair! Moral of this, check your meds, & then check them again!
  17. Yes, on the older diesels I give ground, hence I mentioned modern diesels in my post, a distinction that ought be made if people are going to recommend an additive to diesel. This is where my point lay.
  18. Great pic of your lad! I think they have a public image to maintain, & may well have had a plastic health & safety equal rights lefty type on their case, you know how things are out there, jolly decent of them to send you the message imo.
  19. ATF, cooking oil, 2stroke oil... Load of old wive's tales that shouldn't really be posted as advice, where do people get this info from, someone up the pub? If your going to try an 'additive', go with professional advice, from people who know & can back up what they say. Modern diesels are sensitive things, & cost loads to put right, some good advice in this thread, but some that ought not be posted imo.
  20. Hello mate,. if you get the chance scoff a handful.
  21. Eat them quick, they fall apart in no time, lovely fruit to come across.
  22. A big + 1.

    Fuel mix

Too much oil in the mix will cause the saw to run lean, & maybe hot, just stick to the recomended mix, usually 50/1. Simples.
  24. Good post mate, level headed thinking.
  25. Improvised plowing for a young farmer wannabe....this is an old one from the late 70's, taken in the Pyrenees. img008 by geoff321, on Flickr
