  1. That's a really lovely looking cake:thumbup1: & Jon, if you want a cake made why not go for a 'big butt cake'!
  2. The echo is a good high quality saw, better built that the others imo, & cheaper. wack one of Rob D's carving bars on & you have a superb bit of kit, nothing wrong with the stock bar, but it is bull nosed & has a safety chain. The saw can be hotted up very easily. Sexy! 002 by geoff321, on Flickr
  3. Well yes it is expensive, but what price your health, especially long term, hand tools are fine..to a point, then the saws have to come out, & hedges...well I rest my case!
  4. That's pretty cool, I like it!
  5. That's good advice from Stubby.
  6. Good man, enjoy!
  7. Mine had the stock anti roll bar, it was quite stable.
  8. We do, but we have to outlay the money in the first place remember, we don't get in back straight away, hence it can affect our cashflow. Not an issue to me, but it may put some off. Then you have the domestic user, they would be more inclined to use it if it was cheaper, they don't get the tax back, so why should they pay through the nose for something that is a healthier option? It's a deaper issue than your point addresses.

I doubt you will regret it, once sorted it is a lovely little saw.
  11. It sure does make a difference in the short term Stephen, I'm quite convinced it might in the long run too, we cant live on the fumes, but the benzine deficiency is quite an important thing for our health when we use 2 strokes in close environments day in. The fuel caps could be a coincidence, but also the lack of ethanol in Aspen will possibly allow the rubber to harden, as the ethanol in pump fuel softens & destroys the rubber in the long run. But you most likely know this, & they would have been on their last legs anyway.

Here are some pics, drill a pilot hole, then go 8 or 9mm, clean out any swarf, give it a tap on the floor then shake it to make sure it's clear, pop it on & try it out, if when it's hot it revs high you will want to open up the H screw a touch anti clock, if it bogs at all from tickover, same with the L screw. Never had to do this on the four that I have modded. You will find it pics up revs much faster, & has more go in the cut. I will chuck my camera in the truck now so I don't forget, it is easy, an 8 or 9 mm hole will do it. The swarf I just blow out then flush it with water in case any sticks to the sides.

I'm doing my mates one in the morning, I will try to get a pic, but you want to take the exhaust off the saw first, ( 2 minute job), & clear any swarf out, you dont want it getting in the exhaust port.
  16. Each day as it comes mate, your truck looks good.
  17. I like your style mate!

Same as with mine, they are heavily strangled by the exhaust.

  20. Well We hate to do it Stevie, But we told you so!
  21. there, that's better! Well he had his answers, let him crack on with the job, no skin off my nose what he charges.
  22. I admire anyone who is strong enough to be as open as you Chris.
  23. The others have summed it up, all you can do is make the best of what you have left mate. Concentrate on keeping the business going, avoid getting on the booze other than your social things, keep the food going in, even if just simple stuff, join the gym or some activity to get you out & focus on. Time will soften the raw pain, & horrendous shock, it always does. Rely on your close friends a bit,you will find out who they are. I found that helping others worse off helped me to get through after the shock had gone.
  24. Good words.
