I just wouldn't trust the word of the neighbour, some folk love a claim on your insurances, best on paper IMO.

  9. One big heap of mutt moose, knock on the door & show them a pic/contact environment agency. poor show by the houseowner.
  10. Still mulling it over, but thinking about using the old bucket as a mount,( it has a quick hitch for fast bucket change fitted),and running the splitter as stand alone and boom mounted, using the gradeing blade hydraulics to run it. needs some thought, but I like the idea.
  11. Ive a 3/4 ton min digger, going to research viability of a splitter on that,I have a worn ouy bucket to make a mount.

pointed reminder, makes you think. Hope the climber got over that injury ok.
  14. Contrary to some radicalists, eithr the husky or the stihl will do your job, both are good saws.I use a 260(7 year old),and it still rattles on.
  15. They are a nice strong saw,use a bit of mix, pull a 25 inch bar no worries, and not too heavy when chogging down a trunk. Good reliable saw.
  16. Also, and I may be wrong, check, clean and ensure the choke system is working correctly,if this is sticking on on one cylendar could be your prob
  17. Mine pops when you back off the throttle, think this is normal. If it had the wrong plugs fitted at service,I would take it back to service depot & get it on record, and get them to fit the right ones. Also clean the fuel system and replace the filter. Hope you get it sorted.
  18. And dont forget your first aid, knife,& whistle!
  19. I removed a row of 20 or so mature pops, all attacked by bt moth. the bore holes up to about 2 feet from ground level,in long grass. Watha the caterpillers,as they are hairy, and will cause a VERY unpleasant rash if they get on you.(lasted about four days when I had one down me keks)!
  20. Good call Dean,That will save a few expensive mishaps for the start & thrash merchants!
  21. Would that be the brown tailed moth?
  22. Thats a nice winch mate:thumbup1:
  23. Would be nice for some real quality to shine through.I have gone the echo route(for reductions/light work including conny hedge),that's holding up well so far,be interested in how you get on with the solo.
