    ms200t to buy

The 192t will be no good for take downs,or anything over 4or5 inches diameter.go 200t,try FR Jones.
  2. I wont give them anything, these people get wages to reward contracts so they are already sorted.

    Plane trees

Light dust masks may be the way forward, that stuff does get your throat!
  4. Oh thats sore mate, look after it,& make sure the dressing isnt too tight,if your finger goes numb loosen it off, youwant good circulation round that.
  5. Thats fine, the old way of climbing, you can use both ends of your climbing rope with that tecnique too,so you can effectively climb with just one length of rope, working end over end as you go up. The only thing is you are meant to be tied in twice when working, leaving you with no escape line set up in case you have to get out quick.
  6. Ouch!and in cold weather too! Get better soon, what's the damage?

    PSI Powerbox

Got one on my landy & its great, loads more grunt, regards fuel economy,it might help if you can keep your right foot light,if not it wont! Sounds a little bit dear too, look about for a better price.
  8. Ive gat a large willow trunk thats fallen into a semi-dry pond, the trunk is also filled with concrete,& the client wants it gone. Thinking about cutting along its length as much as I dare, then trying to open it up with wedges made of oak. Not a nice prospect for the saw,but being a semi rotten willow Im going to use some old chains on it to save killing a nice fresh chain. My thinking is that once Ive opened it up I may be able to pry the comcrete out with a six foot bar,or at least get a swing at it with a sledge.
  9. A 1.5 m trunk...if it was of any length I would drop a six foot bar on it,disc it & be done with it. The discs could be quartered with a smaller saw.
  10. I wouldn't let it bother you, your price for 3 blokes & the kit sounds about right to me,the other guy must be hard up for work if he is doing it for £200.
  11. I have lived off the land in my own way ,some years ago,I eat what I could forage & kill,But did earn money of sorts,I had a horse & 4 wheel trolley, bow saw & axe & a few sheets of canvas with old carpet for a 'fly sheet',ended up roofing the cart with ash hoops for a home,& made another cart to go out on the road to earn a bit running scrap, hauling logs out the wood for firewood, all manner of things to turn a shilling, boot fairs included. Was a good life in many ways in this country,so not realy survival stuff, more a way of living, had about 4 years at it!
  12. :001_smile:nice pic ,lovely little girl you have, mines 15 going on 16 now, still just as much the apple of my eye as when I first saw her, if all else comes to nothing but ones endeavors, your offspring are your legacy, and it doesn't get better than that!
  13. Lovely saw,all you would want.
  14. You are not realy going to cut up a 1.5 m diameter with a 15 inc bar. What area are you in,as the cheapest way would be to get a pro with a big saw to disc it for you.
  15. RST Landrovers Ltd Mersea - Landrover mail order parts, vehicle sales, servicing and repairs Thats better, sorry for the last rather uninformative post!
  16. Unreal picture, wonder if the gutters still work!!!
  17. Try these people in essex if it's not too far, they may be able to source a nice one as a chassis cab, worth a call,If they have what you want ,pm me,& I may be able to help you get a good price.
  18. I can see how it might put your nose out ,but just ensure your clients that your wood is seasoned, and explain the difference,no point in resorting to violence or skulduggery, just compete.
  19. Thats good news James, let us know how you get on with it!
  20. Close call, that could so easily have been very nasty, glad your not cut!
  21. The 260 is a good robust saw,not the fastest cutting,but if a 15 inch bar is big enough(it will take 18 inch,but struggle),then I would say get one.
  22. Drop beer & bread,& try to eat less in the evening, also cut out junk snacks & fatty foods like cheese, drink more water & no fizzy soft drinks, eat more fruit & salads. It's tough to start with, but after a week or so you wont miss the bad stuff. If you feel a bit peckish after dinner in the evening,go for a bit of vigorous excercise, say four sets of ten situps & pressups.
  23. Bath tub indeed!! that's a perfectly servicable Hamstead heffer trough! Nice fun Job David!
