  1. Total quality in this evenings pics,as usual Silky,The lady's hand in the first pic shows her wisdom,& the grub looks superb. But Newky brown ,well.... the pub looks interesting.
  2. Lovely set of pictures Hedgesparrow, its something that in my opinion we dont feature enough on the forum,I can see you & the input from others helping to bring to light. I have dipped my toe in the water a couple of times on non comercial hedge laying,& wish to open up my knowledge & ability to at least have an understanding of the principals. Around me there are many hedges that remain, now very much all flailed as livestock are either wire fenced or the land is just under the plow,so its not deemed as a viable way to maintain the hedges that are still left on agg land,a great shame & loss in my opinion.
  3. I have used John, realy nice feller,& good at what he does.
  4. Keep on plugging away mate, you deserve a start.
  5. Great set, thanks for showing them. Looks like a good time was had in the winds.
  6. Its good stuff, even use it in my old zippo lighter!
  7. Too true,my old grandpa always maintained its ' not the clothes you wear, but whats in your pockets'!
  8. That's strange,he seems to be online. Was a low trick to play by whoever it was in the op.
  9. Thats stunning Sloth!
  10. Top post Silky,& another thought, people who have a low self esteem are most often decent sensitive & kind individuals. Maybe try to isolate the root causes in writing,& learn ways to deal with them, this will bounce along the line & improve your self value,as you will realise you are in control of whats toxic to you.
  11. But if you have the likes of Felixthechopper on the end of it,it is going to need brakes not more motive power,my design takes the, erm, operater error out of the system,if he hits a clients wall flat out it will crumple, absorbing some of the energy involved, thus preventing said operater destroying the clients property. In effect I have tried to make it fool proof!
  12. Well with all the rain we have had nationwide,I feel it only fair to introduce the new patented wet ground waste removal aid,I expect most discerning groundies will be needing one to stay on top of their game, speed rated at well beyond the likes of Felix the chopper downhill & out of control, any takers?
  13. Weather forecast....
  14. Well I'm still here, the world looks the same, that comes as a relie
  15. Trust you Felix!:001_rolleyes:001_smile: Funny thing was,at one point I could hear spike swearing down the chimney,& he could no doubt hear me cussing up it!
  16. Thanks mate!

  18. Great idea,I have one to put on here, will get the details of it,but I do remember its a very old stihl.
  19. It may have already got mentioned, but if it's the stale petrol issue that puts you off a petrol saw, take a look at Aspen fuels, not cheap, but a shelf life of 3 years, which opens up your target choices. I have only heard good things about the stihl cordless saw,but it will not compete with a decent petrol,& if you are doing firewood for more than the occasional fire it may hold you back a little by comparison. I may get shot for this, but training is expensive, although FR Jones & son do a more tailored training I believe,or hire a pro to teach you for a day, should cost you less than full on training. Chainsaw trousers ,toe capped boots & a chainsaw helmet would be advised for your ppe. If you do go for a petrol saw,get back on here & ask for some specific advice on your choices regards budget & target wood size.
  20. Top news mate,just fantastic!!!
  21. Nice one Jon,but you realy should have the 3120,right,I'm off before the flack starts!
