  1. I run the little echo,& for light work,(same as the Makita),its a lovely little saw,& is a few years old with no trouble, but the blue saw is ok too I think. Me,it would be the echo.
  2. Me too. Thats a tough knock for the local tree firms,I have lost then regained such contracts, way of the world nowadays, unfortunately.
  3. Absolutely, most of us running a small firm will positively recomend buying kit from the cheapest dealer on line, rather than go to our local supliers. So to criticise out of town arb companies getting 'our' local contracts is a bit like the pot calling the kettle. It is the way we do business nowadays,& its mostly about money.
  4. Very sad,such a lovely looking dog.
  5. A big thanks for the service in replacing the bearings in my tw125 main rotor shaft bearing assembly,I provided the bearings, cups etc,& they fitted the whole lot at the Braintree depot, for the grand sum of £260. Thats a great price imo,(it was on an hourly rate),the parts came to about £130. Very fast service too.
  6. Great views from the garden!
  7. Looks very good Spike, nice & concise with a family run tone to it.
  8. That seems to have cleaned it up Steve, lightning fast again so far.
  9. Still playing up here, seems fine for a few minutes, then freezes up & have to recover the web page through windows.
  10. Looks ideal,I could use this for a few jobs, thanks for the tip.
  11. Mines a single cab,but they are cracking vehicles apart from a limited tool space,I intend to fully cover my tipbody so the tools can go in on top of the chip & out of the rain,as at the moment its only half done. landy arb tipper by geoff321, on Flickr
  12. Never good to see honest hard working people caught like this,& thank you for the heads up.
  13. Try putting the bait in a bit of the wifes stocking, drill the trap plate & tie the stocking ball to it,they will set it off then.

    Jokes???

I recently spent $2,500 on a young Black Angus bull. I put him out with the herd but he just ate grass and wouldn't even look at a cow. I was beginning to suspect he was gay, if that's possible with a bull. Anyhow, I had the Vet come have a look at him. He said the bull was very healthy, but possibly a little young, so he gave me some pills to feed him once per day Holy crap. The bull started to service the cows within two days. All of my cows! He even broke through the fence and bred all my neighbor's cows! He's been breeding just about everything in sight. He's like a machine!" I don't know what in hell was in the pills the Vet gave him, but they kinda taste like peppermint.
  15. Thanks mate, miss my dirt bikes, might have to get another! Done some more work on the little bobber now my new welder is up & running, the silencer is just mocked up,but I like it so its going on! IMG_1406 by geoff321, on Flickr
  16. Thats a most distressing thing to happen, wish you every luck in finding your dog,& much as its out of my area will keep an open eye.
  17. Total quality in this evenings pics,as usual Silky,The lady's hand in the first pic shows her wisdom,& the grub looks superb. But Newky brown ,well.... the pub looks interesting.
  18. Lovely set of pictures Hedgesparrow, its something that in my opinion we dont feature enough on the forum,I can see you & the input from others helping to bring to light. I have dipped my toe in the water a couple of times on non comercial hedge laying,& wish to open up my knowledge & ability to at least have an understanding of the principals. Around me there are many hedges that remain, now very much all flailed as livestock are either wire fenced or the land is just under the plow,so its not deemed as a viable way to maintain the hedges that are still left on agg land,a great shame & loss in my opinion.
  19. I have used John, realy nice feller,& good at what he does.
  20. Keep on plugging away mate, you deserve a start.
  21. Great set, thanks for showing them. Looks like a good time was had in the winds.
  22. Its good stuff, even use it in my old zippo lighter!
  23. Too true,my old grandpa always maintained its ' not the clothes you wear, but whats in your pockets'!
