  1. I had the auto oil filler for a while, and it was cool, except the oil did go through it pretty slowly. It got smashed in the woods and TBH i prefer the normal spout now.
  2. chip the lot, sell it as mulch, and invest in some decent timber. Lelandii is atrocious stuff, and elm doesnt burn brilliantly either. Sorry.
  3. Fair play to your dad- the colleague needed telling! Hope its better soon mate.
  4. Ranger matt, I am in no way trying to out do your injury or belittle it or anything like that, or even try to appear tough, but I worked on for about 40 minutes to finish what i was doing and then went home and dropped the trailer off before driving myself to casualty after I did this: I only posted this because i am AMAZED that an ambulance was called, and that an ambulance actually came. I think that whoever authorised it in the council should be re-educated. We are bombarded with stuff about not wasting time on 999 calls.
  5. Foul. Sleet, snow, slush, rain, cold.
  6. RangerMatt, are you on the wind up about the 999 call? i mean- an ambulance for a finger injury?????????
  7. veg oil. New, old, whatever- not had any problems, even using it on a 4' bar. Doesnt get much cheaper or more eco friendly I reckon.
  8. I abhor apple products, but not due to reliability or anything, however I would actually recommend one if you arent that computer literate and dont want to go changing it all about....but they are quite pricey i think.
  9. Heres some on youtube. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8TkTpiLbcs]YouTube - Bandit - conventional-drum-chippers[/ame]
  10. About 17k.
  11. It used to be the advised practise, believe it or not- 'fill the cavity with mortar boy'!!!! Good luck mate.
  12. Those companies are a waste of money.
  13. Wow- I have never heard anyone express that opinion before!
  14. Been hearing this unfold in the news. Its awful.
  15. If you are in the financial position to afford a schleising, then why on earth are you even considering a TW- they couldnt be further apart in terms of quality!
  16. At the risk of sounding a bit thick- why do you need to pull a leaner- or do you mean for pulling against the lean?
  17. Echo what badger says, unless it really is a very quiet road, but even then, if it goes wrong, you are in it deep.
  18. Without seeing the tree, I cant say, but I was undercut on a £150 job today!!!! Not worried as i am snowed under with work, but I would have normally put a couple of hundred on this one, but was for an OAP friend of a friend. Some people must have little or no overheads!!
  19. Ali geckos. Lovely.
  20. When you put a vid on youtube, you grant youtube and its users the right to use it.....[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdcK6r7yk9Q&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - Who Owns Your YouTube Videos?[/ame]
  21. On MY youtube video, made at my farm.....are there copyright issues?
  22. Well thats all very interesting. The 810 i was quoted was to cover the cost of admin and adverts in the local paper warning of the closure I was told. Jase- i would NEVER believe what farmer palmer tells me about what is or isnt legal LOL!!
  23. Silicone may not be your answer. YOu need something like plumbers gold, as silicone needs to be trapped between 2 surfaces to be best (yeah I know- baths, showers etc etc....) but i have had probs with silicone before. Bituminous mastic would be good too.
  24. I agree with Ade's last post. I am privy to the particular customer who phoned Ade, and the circumstances, so can understand how a normally very level headed and sensible guy became flustered enough to lose the edge momentarily.
  25. JimE- have you had a defender before? They hold their price like nothing else, and 100k is NOTHNG for a landrover, esp 200 or 300 tdis. They cost a hell of a lot more, because they crap all over the others. TBH if you are going to put your own bodywork on, why dont you just buy an MOT fail defender, and a new galvanised 130 chassis for about £1400?
