Sitting here at my PC near the window, I am basically waiting for the window to blow in. The wind is gusting incredibly hard- probably no more than about 70mph, but you can see the glass flexing, and the windows are very old. Is it mega windy elsewhere? I understand west scotland is getting it a bit too?

I have to say that it would be a waste of time on a king or double cab. Better off with a chip truck or a trailer i think.

Reminds me of the other evening....tracked chipper (big TW) working other side of the hedge, blasting chip at/ through the hedge. No PPE in sight, not even a pair of ear defenders, andi it was starting to go dark too. They carried on for another hour.....probably only had the chipper for the weekend.

I would be looking at a decent estate TBH. Why sacrifice comfort and ease, quietness and speed for a 4x4??? Which estates have you looked at? There are some very very roomy ones, esp for a family of 3 and dogs. Other than that, which you probably didnt want to hear lol, I cant be much help, although i reckon you would have less room in a double cab than an estate (other than the dogs who would be rattling around in the cavernous area they now occupy)

Tony- it really is an effective way of stopping things rolling around on the ground....e.g. a sloping garden with a posh conservatory at the bottom...the last thing you want is for an errant log to roll into it...this way it is roped to the tree..

Recent research (according to the doc last time i was in hospital after blackthorn) suggests that there nothing inherently poisonous in blackthorn, its what is on the thorn that goes mouldy in your hand! (not sure how thats of any help lol)
