  1. I agree. Excersise is the key:thumbup1:
  2. HOw big are the greenhouse and other shed? If they are small it would be cheaper to trash/ remove and replace them then drop the crown off into the neighbours garden than it would cost in wages/ equipment to dismantle it saving the targets.
  3. That is an atrocious towing capacity. An ifor tipping trailer weighs 1 of those 2.5 tons empty!! They really need to beef up the chassis on those Jap motors, then they might be worth a thought for serious work.
  4. Your metabolism is slowing Dave, so to compensate you will need to not only cut out parts of your diet, as you are, but also increase your exercise too.
  5. THUD! You look justifiably chuffed mate:biggrin:
  6. I put up with this for years and years, and seem to have finally cured it! (it'lll probably start leaking now i have said that!!) I made sure that the doors made a good seal with the rubbers, I had to bend that top in ever so slightly, and shape the front edge inwars to make sure, and then I siliconed along the top of the windscreen frame where it meets the roof, bringing it round the first 6 inches or the door seal too. Having holes in the gutter drilled for the roofrack has meant endless leaks- in the morning about a cupful of water would run out of the channel behind the headlining above the dor an soak me. So i got some "Plumbers Gold" sealent/ adhesive, and put a hefty coating along the outside gutter- as has been mentioned above the meagre sealant applied at the factory soon wears out and leaks like hell! So far so good- no leaks yet!
  7. Thats more than my 300tdi defender!! 6k ought to get you a pretty decent crewcab landy, or any 4x4 TBH. Going on the fuel returns of your vitara, I would be fairly confident that most of the trucks mentioned above would be perfectly fine, and all would have the capability to do what you need, so long as they are well shod that is! I personally favour land rovers. My hilux was okay, but not really man enough for extensive heavy work (i bent that one), but i would say I havent really been that impressed with troopers or L200s. The Ford ranger is worth considering for certain.
  8. Paddy met Mick in the street and Mick said: 'Paddy will you draw your bedroom curtains before making love to your wife in the future?' "Why?" Paddy asked. 'Because,' said Mick 'all the street was laughing when they saw you making love yesterday' Paddy replied 'Silly buggers! - the laugh's on them. I wasn't home yesterday!!'
  9. I got to 40k earlier..gonna try again.
  10. What i said isnt true anyway- I would NEVER admit to knowing anyone with a townhouse in Bath!
  11. I didnt think i would hook anyone.
  12. Lovely part of the country. I grew up in Dorset, nr wimborne.
  13. Never mind how they got it Lee- the 'they' that earned the wealth did so by usually being what would nowadays be seen as unacceptable or underhand or inhuman practices. Some gained their wealth through purely humanitarian or inventive methods. At the end of the day, the old money nowadays inherited their wealth (those that still have any that is!), so to bang the drum of social injustice and ill-gotten gains has really worn a bit thin. Besides, it is also worth noting that practices seen as wrong nowadays, were acceptable in the past, eg when we had an empire. It is also worth noting that alot of the gentry in this country were also the captains of industry and war that made this country what it is and allowed the systems we have in place nowadays to come into fruition in the first place. Anyway, talking about money is a bit vulgar isnt it?
  14. I think thats a real shame......it ought to be alot more. Many of my good friends have had to sell loads of land to pay death duties, and now are forced to scratch a living on much smaller holdings, some as small as 10,000 hectares, and I have 3 friends who have had to sell one of their estates altogether, in one case only leaving them with one estate in the highlands, and a small townhouse in Bath. I think its bang out of order that the great unwashed should be allowed to force this state of affairs in the name of liberalism.
  15. went to the supermarket for
  16. It shouldnt make any odds Josh. At the end of the day they were nicking logs, running around in a totally illegal motor, and basically just behaving like scum. They deserved what was coming for them, and TBH probably knew exactly what risks they were running. Lee- jealousy will get you nowhere mi amigo.
  17. You have just made my day too!! total result!!
  18. Yeah i have been using found ones for years, but we have a job that will pay for a whole set, so thought we might splash out a bit.....
  19. Never rea lised how much fun could be had with a cartoon dwarf!! 29061 feet, all add-ons, what a top game!!
