  1. HTC Desire S, had it for a year and really like it. No probs so far.
  2. I'll drop in if I've got time.
  3. 46 yesterday and still going for it although it does hurt a bit.
  4. Nae luck. If it's not bolted down then things tend to 'walk'. I'll certainly let you know if I see or hear of a saw for sale. On a side note have you worked with a guy who has the initials AC, just curious as I've heard him talking about a guy with your name.
  5. Guy I used to work with, used 2 single handed ascenders with the handles taped together and the connecting karabiner attached to both ascenders, worked well for him.
  6. Just had the blades sharpened on a Farmi that I work with. Fantastic job (you could shave with then). Pm me if you want the details.
  7. Payment can be termed as cash or 'paid in kind'.
  8. Nuts, nuts, nuts !!! We sometimes think health & safety has gone too far but at least we have it. These poor guys don't have anything.
  9. I've seen these in the flesh recently. Light construction (Chinese import) would probably be OK on a small stump but I didn't see it working.
  10. Exactly why I didn't go into plant hire !!
  11. £28-£30/hr up here in Scotland
  12. Mark Knopfler, Lynyrd Skynyrd and a bit of Radio 2 thrown in for good measure but this can vary widely.
  13. Richie G. I'll pass your details on.
  14. Thanks Darren, I'll pass your details on.
  15. Birch suitable for firewood processing available in the Scottish Lothian and Borders. Cut to 3 & 4meter lengths. £30/tonne roadside. Haulage can be arranged. PM me and I'll pass your details on.
  16. David. Don't worry about where he stays, he travels all over the country carving.
  17. Just thought you could try SGM at Inverkeithing, I haven't hired from them but they are advertising chippers for hire.
  18. Usually I'd say AKRO but I tried to hire one also and was told about the waiting list.
  19. Paddy PM sent.
  20. Thanks Steve, just wondering what's out there.
  21. I am looking for a chainsaw winch. I know about Lewis winches but are there any others you would recommend, where to buy them or has anyone got one for sale ?
  22. Sandcastles. I hire it from Peter at Prolink Tel:07957317744, they are based near Strathaven. Yes the grapple is handy, I reckon this machine can do what 3 men could do so well worth the hire rate.
  23. I've hired this one a few times, fantastic piece of kit, saves a huge amount of time dragging brash etc. Wish I could afford to buy one.
  24. Jas Wilson at Dalbeattie 01556612233. He's advertising the Posch Autosplit for £7000 in Forestry Journal
