  1. Hi Jonathan. Sorry to derail your thread, but I was wondering if you offer a mobile milling service as I've recently been felling some Elms for an estate which they would like milled. Thanks
  2. Aquafell Expert have worked well for me. I've had 4 pairs and been happy with all of them.

    Sleep

yeah Huck I'm the same, can't seem to sleep past 6.00am but it's good not to have to get up at that time at the weekends.

    Sleep

Big J. if you're concerned about your sleep, the sleep clinic at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh is excellent.
  5. Ok it's not on the same scale as Stevie's chipper but it impressed me. It can stall the 210hp Fendt that's powering it. No to worry there's a 250hp John Deere coming to power it shortly

    Sleep

Yeah, its worth getting checked out especially if you snore or your other half tells you that you seem to stop breathing when sleeping.

    Sleep

It's not only fat/overweight people that can have sleep apnoea but being overweight certainly doesn't help. It's caused by the muscles in the throat relaxing as you sleep thus constricting the airway and not letting you get a deep restful sleep.

    Sleep

I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnoea almost 5 years ago. Best thing I ever did was to get it sorted. If you think that you may have a problem go to the docs and get referred to a sleep clinic.
  9. Private garden FELL IT. No felling licence required.
  10. Try Loctite Super Glue Power Flex, worked for me
  11. I saw one of these recently at a woodland management/woodfuel demo day, useful piece of kit but as TW says expensive. Do you hire it out ?
  12. Good pieces of kit, does what is says on the tin. Used them for the last 16 years+ with no probs.
  13. Hired this one before and hired it again for a job last week. 3 Horse Chestnuts and 1 Sycamore to remove in a large garden with limited access. Furthest tree was about 100yds from where I could get the chipper to and all timber had to be processed into logs and left where we chipped. FANTASTIC MACHINE is my impression. Cost £70 /day and if I'd had an extra 3 men on site there's no way they they could have done what it did. It also made a very handy saw bench for logging
  14. Nice work Ross. Can I sense some "Holland" influence creeping in ?
  15. Industrial Access, based in Glasgow Tel. 01417749095. I use them a fair bit and always been good. Tell them Robin at Caledonian Tree Care gave you their number.
  16. I know where there is an undercarriage from a 13t Daewoo, will find out more today.
  17. what kind of excavator for the 13t undercarriage ?
  18. Hi Michael. I may be able to put a bit of work your way but I am just a small company so it may just be occasional work. Have you worked as a groundsman before ? If you want send me your mobile number. My email is [email protected]

    Regards, Robin

  19. I'm looking for a climber to help with a job in South Lanarkshire. It will probably be just for one day just now but a good chance for work in the future for the right person. Must have CS tickets and experience. PM me with your details if your interested.
  20. HI. Is the chipper still for sale ?
  21. Jim, thanks for your reply which is what I suspected. It has a filter which I'll replace before making any decision. It's not a sealed unit as it has an oil reservoir which I've checked for level.
  22. Hi all, I recently bought a Countax K18-50 mower at auction. All seemed OK at first but it now it gets slower when going up hill to the point where it doesn't go any further When it does this is sounds like a hydraulic pump which is running low on oil. I've checked the transmission oil level and the drive belt tension and both seem OK. Any help would be appreciated.
