  1. Don't know if JimE is still at Riko as he told me he was leaving.
  2. I also saw this at Wilsons open day and it looked to be doing a good job, simple and it works
  3. Hoping to get down, probably better book something now.
  4. Let me know if you find any ark makers Jonathan, as I'll need one shortly
  5. I've got some, but I'm in southern Scotland and delivery would probably be prohibitive.
  6. Very satisfying, it was the first time I had been involved with milling and it was great to see the different timber coming off the mill.
  7. Yes Rob, we cut over 260 boards of various sizes this week. Pic 5 shows 4 quarters of the same log which we had to cut down to fit through the mill.
  8. I've been working for a local estate, felling dead Elms and tidying up some windblown Oaks so we decided to have it milled. It produced some stunning timber when milled which the estate will use in their house building and estate maintenance. A huge thanks to Big J and his brother for milling for us, top job guys If you are looking for a mobile mill I can certainly recommend Big J.
  9. Yes I've checked the fuses, all good.
  10. Thanks Dave, it's not the battery. I bought the mower last year at auction and put up with the problem, just keeping the battery charged between cuts but would like to get it sorted properly.
  11. I have a Countax K1850 mower (Kawasaki engine) which is not charging. Does anyone have any ideas or advice ?
  12. Yep, well done Wilsons. Plenty to see, working demos, static displays and decent grub. Did a bit of "networking", all in all a good day out.
  13. Anyone else going to Jas P Wilsons open days ? 18th & 19th May
  14. Ty, is that one yours ? looks like what I'm after
  15. Did the swim seem like a better idea than a walk ? Thanks for popping over yesterday.
  16. Where are you based ? I did it about 6 years ago (with the Scottish Agricultural Collage) for one of the practical units of the RFS.
  17. I have never greased the bar tip and think it's better not to, as Spud says it just attracts crud.
  18. Yep, Benmore is well worth a visit, I was there a couple of years ago, must plan a return trip soon.
  19. I would, but I think I've had it a few times since Stevie had it.
  20. This is the same machine as Stevie had. Used it a couple of times. The grab is great for logs and brash.
  21. I've seen this working and know the company that own it and it seems to do the job well. What's the problem with the chipper ? (just curious)
  22. Hi Jonathan. Looks like a good setup you've got. I may have some milling comming off shortly for an estate I've been working for. I'll be in touch if I can get it sorted.
