  1. Hi all, I'm looking for weekend shifts for the following dates: Sat 10th, Sun 11th, Sat 17th, Sun 18th, Sat 24th, Sun 25th September and Sat 1st and Sun 2nd October. I'm experienced, fast and safe. NPTC CS30,31,38,39,40,41. ISA Certified, towing licence and first aider. I have all my own climbing kit, top handle saw and ground saw, also basic rigging set-up. I am based in Glasgow and willing to travel. Give me a call if you need a climber on any of these dates, I could maybe do a day either side of the weekend also. (Monday or Friday) Contact me on 07584625664, PM or e-mail [email protected]. Cheers
  2. Thanks so much for the advice guys, went for the Greenmech 18hp and am very impressed.
  3. Aye, just one of those things, just have to learn from it and keep on going. I'm usually so careful too. Ironically this has happened on the day I have bought my first chipper, couldn't really have come at a worse time.
  4. Saw went missing at about 12pm at the building site of new Woodhead Primary School in Hamilton, Glasgow. Would appreciate a phone call if anyone hears anything. 07967814483 I'm a sole-trader and unfortunately don't have a back-up saw so if anyone has a good deal on a second hand or ex demo saw (pref Husky) I would be glad to hear from them. PM or e-mail on [email protected]. Many Thanks
  5. Can anyone advise me on where I can hire a track chipper between Glasgow and Mallaig (closer to Mallaig the better). I am doing some work in Mid-January and wanted to avoid towing one all the way from Glasgow. PM or e-mail at [email protected]. Cheers:thumbup1:
  6. Thanks very much for all the advice guys. I think i'm sold on the Green-mech 18hp.
  7. I am looking to buy a compact chipper either ex demo or second hand (in good condition). I have looked at Timberwolf TW13/75G, some of the Jo Beau range and Greenmech CS100. I only have experience with track and to-behind chippers and would welcome some advice from anyone with experience of compact chippers.
  8. I am based in Dumbarton and have my own pickup/saws/climbing kit. I am looking for subcontracting work and am willing to travel most places in Scotland for the right work. PM me or e-mail on [email protected].
  9. I am a freelance climber/forester based in Milton, West Dunbartonshire. I have all my own climbing equipment plus groundsaw and climbing saw. I am looking for work anywhere in the central belt of Scotland and would consider travelling further afield North or South for the right quality of work. I have three years experience in the industry and have tickets CS30,31,38,39 plus a clean driving licence and own vehicle(4x4). I enjoy hard work and a challenge and do so with a smile on my face. I can provide up to date references and CV. Please get intouch with a PM or email to [email protected]

  11. I am currently looking for subcontract work in the West of Scotland (and beyond). I passed my Basic Chainsaw licence two years ago and have just passed Basic Tree Climbing and Perform Aerial Rescue (CS38). I am sitting Aerial Use of Chainsaw (CS39) next week and am currently taking the RFS cert in Arboriculture through the Horticulture Correspondence College. I have two years experience as a groundsman, and a years experience as a trainee climber (under instruction). I am reliable, puntual, and a grafter whatever the weather. I am ideally looking for climbing experience but would consider any short term work on offer. Please PM or e-mail me. Cheers Ossian Butler [email protected]
  12. Hi all, I'm still looking for one person to fill tree climbing course due to run on the 13th of September. The venue is Kirkton Park, Bathgate and costs £715. I've had a couple of courses cancelled in the past few months due to lack of numbers, hence me taking matters into my own hands. Please could you send me a PM back to let me know if you're interested. Cheers
  13. It £715 for training and assessment.
  14. In Glasgow, course is at Lanark or Ayr, not sure which yet.
  15. Hi all, i'm booked on to do my CS38 (basic climbing and perform aerial rescue) at Scottish Agricultural College on the 13th September. The course still has 2 places which need to be filled for the course to run. Please get in-touch if you know of anyone looking to get this ticket. Many Thanks
