  4. you bitch lol . but verry verry true right now
  5. to be honest steve i went home after a frustratind day , looks like the lads have got a day with a 6 inch green mech and ranger tipper tomorrow while i fix the mog (well try to) the belt is seeming tight though as it was my first check , will be in the yard for 7 tomorrow morning and have a look through the hoses , firstly i think i will take the main hose off and see if the compressor is working and work my way to the back of the mog lol , the pto rubbing the pipe does make sense though . failing that i will disconnect the air brakes and replace them with the dick barkes on my mountain bike !!!!
  6. Nice pics Rupe , what a cracking day to be working on a tre like that and in a nice location , we have had the day in a cenetery taking down some really sappy pines lol
  7. Dont panik , i will take pics on my cammera lol , not getting cought out again , but first i have some bits and pieces to do to it first ,
  8. i so need to get me one !!! have been having a look round but never see many come up for sale second hand
  9. hmmm how well would it tow behind a mog i wonder lol
  10. feck the crap wood , lets see some mog pics , i will post some of mine when i get a min lol .
  11. cheers steve your a gent . i have left the mog in the shed for the night and fecked off home ,. i will have a look for the hose first thing in the morning , i was one step away from buying a new compressor , hopefully you will be right mate , when a drained the tanks there was verry little watter in the tanks at all . thinking about it i doubt that it is the compressor as it build air but its being lost too quickly lol
  12. cheers steve , will give you a should mate , it just seems really wierd that it started all of a sudden . i have tried getting as much air in the tanks as possible and listen for air - now previously i could hear air leaking from the top on the gearbox but seeings i now cant get 3 bar in the tanks withot revving the engine up to full working revs for ten mins this morning and now it wond do much at all since i emptied the air tanks lol
  13. nope not even enoght air to turn itself off , feck knows what it is but its sods law it happens when we are in need of the mog to do the job ,
  14. the strange thin is that this has only come to light since we put the chipper on the back , we had the mog working all day today and not once did the mog tanks fill and the pressure relief valve activate , it has slowly got worse yesterday and toady ,
  15. :thumbdown:hiya guys , have got a problem with my mog that it is not bulding enough air and what air is built is lost verry quickly . I have noticed this yesyerday out on site but has got worse over yesterday and today , when i got it back to the yard this afternoon i emptied the air tanks and not for some reason the compressor will not charge the tanks at all , hopefully some of you have some ideas of she may well be going for a long trip on a low-loader one way
  16. Cheers Hama , have had a look at my ART gear and all is ok . My only thought was that the informatin given by art does make me wonder if the equipment is fit for purpose , how do you retrieve a friction saver without it hittin the ground other than using the double snapper that gets stuck more often than it works ???
  17. thanks justin , i hope its comming out soon
  18. sorry to derail the thread slightly but what are you guys usng as a re-direct when using a lockjack and friction saver ?
  19. hiya guys i was wondering if anyone knows if the new design skylotec harness is available yet ? i looked at the harness at the AA show last year and was told it would be available in 8 weeks max but still i have not seen it advertised for sale anywhere . does anyone know if its on sale yet of even what the hold up is ? i wish they would hurry up as i need a new harness
  20. well if it cheers you all up i was reversing the mog today with 2 guys wathcing me reverse back untill i hit a tree in the woods and bent the chip box door - 3 hours later loads of hammering and a new section of ally chanel and its all ok again . oh and the tp760 really is a pile of shite , im now thinking about getting a 10 inch kwick chip
  21. well well well , i insured my mog with a well known arb insurer and was rather miffed that the policy and its limmitations so on my lunch break i gave nfu a call , within ten mins i had the mog insured fully comp with none of the limitations like the other insurer and when they told me it would cost me 236.75 - a saving of nearly £500 i was over the moon , so maybe nfu are good for some things . oh and the woman on the phone did have a rather nice voice lol
  22. having done some asking round down here it turns out that Mr Tidytrees has worked for several companies down here and lets say i i have not heard many good reports .
  23. i find that big chippers are great , just because you have a 12 inch chipper it does not mean you have to feed that size timber through it , but when you get called out in the middle of the night to a fallen tree blocking the road then the big chipper comes into its own , and yes for awkward shaped branches etc i would much rather have a big chipper to save trimming it out. but i can see your points as well
  24. ideal i should get there roughly 5 hours before them and set off after them ha ha
