  1. the strange thin is that this has only come to light since we put the chipper on the back , we had the mog working all day today and not once did the mog tanks fill and the pressure relief valve activate , it has slowly got worse yesterday and toady ,
  2. :thumbdown:hiya guys , have got a problem with my mog that it is not bulding enough air and what air is built is lost verry quickly . I have noticed this yesyerday out on site but has got worse over yesterday and today , when i got it back to the yard this afternoon i emptied the air tanks and not for some reason the compressor will not charge the tanks at all , hopefully some of you have some ideas of she may well be going for a long trip on a low-loader one way
  3. Cheers Hama , have had a look at my ART gear and all is ok . My only thought was that the informatin given by art does make me wonder if the equipment is fit for purpose , how do you retrieve a friction saver without it hittin the ground other than using the double snapper that gets stuck more often than it works ???
  4. thanks justin , i hope its comming out soon
  5. sorry to derail the thread slightly but what are you guys usng as a re-direct when using a lockjack and friction saver ?
  6. hiya guys i was wondering if anyone knows if the new design skylotec harness is available yet ? i looked at the harness at the AA show last year and was told it would be available in 8 weeks max but still i have not seen it advertised for sale anywhere . does anyone know if its on sale yet of even what the hold up is ? i wish they would hurry up as i need a new harness
  7. well if it cheers you all up i was reversing the mog today with 2 guys wathcing me reverse back untill i hit a tree in the woods and bent the chip box door - 3 hours later loads of hammering and a new section of ally chanel and its all ok again . oh and the tp760 really is a pile of shite , im now thinking about getting a 10 inch kwick chip
  8. well well well , i insured my mog with a well known arb insurer and was rather miffed that the policy and its limmitations so on my lunch break i gave nfu a call , within ten mins i had the mog insured fully comp with none of the limitations like the other insurer and when they told me it would cost me 236.75 - a saving of nearly £500 i was over the moon , so maybe nfu are good for some things . oh and the woman on the phone did have a rather nice voice lol
  9. having done some asking round down here it turns out that Mr Tidytrees has worked for several companies down here and lets say i i have not heard many good reports .
  10. i find that big chippers are great , just because you have a 12 inch chipper it does not mean you have to feed that size timber through it , but when you get called out in the middle of the night to a fallen tree blocking the road then the big chipper comes into its own , and yes for awkward shaped branches etc i would much rather have a big chipper to save trimming it out. but i can see your points as well
  11. ideal i should get there roughly 5 hours before them and set off after them ha ha
  12. anyone from devon or cornwall going up ?? im driving up on my own so there are a couple spare seets going
  13. i have seen a 20 litre jerry can with a husky filler spout on it which i thought was a great idea - a bit bulky but almost groundy proof
  14. yes they mannaged to put it on my fleet policy some how
  15. this is my 5th year with trust , i started with them as a subby and now have all of my insurance with them , they are relly helpfull if you do have to claim(like whne some fool went into the back of my scooby) they even got me a like for like car through my insurance policy . i really can not fault them at all
  16. i do think that is the down fall with the nfu , i now have all of my insurance with trust and to be honest after compaing quotes this year i dont think i will bother looking round next year , 10% discount for being a long term customer is good for me , next year it goues up to 14.3%
  17. i used to get so p***ed of waiting for people to get back to me but like steve said above - im just a name and a number to them , however when it comes to them wanting something from me it has to be right this instant , nowadays i make them wait . but going back to insurance i would certainly give chameron at trust a call
  18. fair enough mate , handy parts site though as i do need a couple bits for my scooby .
  19. FFS clearly you are dont do humour neither do you do polite !!!
  20. i see your point steve , i guess that 12 inch wesex they had on the front is about as big as i would wanna go then even that will require weights on the back when it aint full of chip , but i may look round for a front mount like you bought or yours , i think the only problem with stuff like this is that they dont come up fpr sale to offten
  21. what ? to go in the LDV ??? now that i would like to see
  22. talking of chippers , i have been looking into buying the wesex that was fitted on the mog that i have bought but also looking at something a little bigger than 12 inches to go on the back , anyone got any thoughts ?? i was thinking that its pointles having a big mog unless i run a big chiper
  23. its simple , give trust a call , i bet you they will have your insurance sorted within the day if you call first thing .
  24. yeah i will be comming up for sure , will be a good excuse for me to air the scooby out lol
  25. looks like a nice job there Andy , do you think that the first tree will improve its habbit ??
