  3. sown stuff myself since i was shown at cubs when i was 8, it isnt anything fancy but does!
  4. Genius mate, it's exactly what I'm needing just now. Well actually I need your machine but the wee Cat is punching well above her weight.
  5. No access was tight mate
  6. It's ramming a huge tree Jon😃
  7. Today's alpine onsite
  8. Great to see you back! You must of heard about our current red diesel Unimog thread 😃😜
  9. Mrs Miggins Pair!! Ooo er matron!!
  10. Just hinge from the top, 1 lever with a catch, simples. Side tip you turn out the chip pile, yes some logs roll under but its an easy fix and with 4 wheel drive you can soon get out most situations:biggrin:
  11. best purchase you will make imo! had mine for 5 years, had no problems with it.
  12. been there with a transit on a flat lawn on a summers day! get yourself a £10 come along winch fom Aldi and stick it in the cab( i know not much room) or buy a mog, thats what i did. Been stuck once in 14 years and that was stupidity on a chip pile messing around.
  13. Fantastic, I know how much work that must of saved. Looks like the crane was out of reach on the last 1, did he have to swing you onto it or did a Groundie pull you in with your rope 😀
  14. If the wind stop blowing you would all fall over on the east coast mate! Loads more snow here in the last 24 hours but Suns poking through inbetween.
  15. Is there a grab on that machine?
  16. get them if you need them, simples.
  17. If i worked in the city i would have a 7.5 tonner and the new 8" lightweight timberwolf. Chip all day without leaving site and have a nice comfy seat home. 7.5 tonners are buttons, the fuel saving alone compared to multiple runs with a 3.5 tonner falling apart struggling all day overloaded.
  18. Does the course teach climbing and cutting? What's your experience in tree work?
  19. No I've never seen the manual for my machine! I jack it up, if it looks like it shouldn't depending on where I'm working, something inside my head says to give it a bit of a pump of grease or not.
  20. thanks Eddie, its happened twice in 14 months so not something i am tooconcerned about tbh.
  21. i thought it was stones and sticks getting inbetween the tracks that knocked them off. I now just pump some grease in to keep them tight if i have been doing any distance tracking.
  22. cats are best around farms! They go and do their own thing, i wouldnt want a dog roaming about, it will end up trapped or under the wheels of something.
