Cool video, I call your slice cut a spear cut. On skinny stuff I usually do it not far off full stretch above my head to stop me putting my arm out, I sometimes have to use the bar as a lever to wiggle it over:biggrin: On big stuff, say a neighbouring stem I do it below waist height, helps me keep my head out the way, sometimes I get a bit of a slap by brash in the way past, but it's a time saver and newer helmets mean you don't have to get the Groundie to look for your ear muffs in the brash:001_rolleyes:

Out all my Mog bills, none have been £6k! New clutch for u2150. Inc labour £2k New engine for u900, £4k fitted Full set of speed rated tyres for 2150, £3k fitted, lasted me 6years. Just got new belts put on the chipper today. £22 Got new bulbs put in my Range Rover aswell. £8 People exaggerate the guy in the pub said stories! Chris there's a reason the RB is £6k, It's an old flatbed ! If you drive it yourself have a good mechanic and a few k in the bank then it's easy! A c price is just over the rd from you ! An 8" pto chipper with over a 120 hp behind it will run rings round your Vermeer.

What amuses me is people who always want to win a negotiation always leave feeling like they have, yes they may have paid less than initially asked, but do they realise they may have been set up! First rule of dealing with a haggler, is double your price and add a little bit more. 2nd rule, always let them think they are winning! So weeks down the line when they start to realise, their big old ego won't let them believe what happened, so they defend the seller😀 But what do I know?😉

If I can negotiate a price down I won't deal with them, I ask for the best price first.

I am currently in the jeep, my combo can full of Aspen is in the boot and I wouldn't know it was there, with petrol my head would be thumping , and that's before I even run a saw! It's made s huge difference for me, I'll be getting the 4 stroke version for mowers and Gloria next year! -

Knuckle jabs from Hawthorn are worse than a shelf ime, it will release histamen into your system, I carry anti histamine in the van, take 1 asap. Your hand will tighten up and swell when you slow down. Make sure your jabs are up to date, if there is still a skelf in a couple of days, don't hack in with a pin or knife,meet to the DRS and get antibiotics and it removed. I had to wear a splint for a week years ago and also nearly lost my finger due to being a numpty! Had 1 go in 1 side of my thumb and out the other side once when I fell against a tree, now that smarted!!!

That's cool, it's there to do a job better and more efficiently than current machines on the market. Maybe just maybe just before they invest millions on a new piece of kit they do some research , just maybe The likes of John Deere have given it a bit of thought. No other trees were harmed, no debris was left that me turn into tinder in the summer months, jobs a goodun:biggrin: -

Some are just being picky, urban smurban who cares :001_rolleyes:the point being is you have chosen a machine that was available and you new its history, that was the biggest selling point I believe. Eddie really knows his stuff, if he sells punt the machine and re invest the money in a different machine, that's what I'd do:thumbup1:

I was meaning the green mechs hopper is at the steering end! There is no doubt on a chipping competition, a bigger chipper will chip more. I used to have a Bandit 250 tow behind! Shall I go on a Tracked TW thread and laugh at their machines and tell them they should get 1 of them because it's bigger? I would sound very naive! I've been doing this job for nearly 20 years, owned and operated a huge amount of machines, the 1 that has simplified mine the most and made me the most money,mis the CS 100! If you can't work out why some of us use them then just think we are daft but let us advise others that may see the bigger picture
