  1. You can turn the chute sideways !
  2. fell into field, drag in a oner with john deere, patch up crapy hedge and 1 bit of old Metal fence! job done!
  3. 2 , 026's and a 46.
  4. Marc I don't know about relevance but here we have a man climbing a bigger tree than any of us will likely come across in our careers with nothing more than a home made strop and an axe in a pair of home made pants! Doing our job is not being heroic, it's doing our job. You either do it or not, some like to blame others and make excuses why they didn't. Personally I beat myself up for being a failure and only when I achieve the goal do I feel good about myself.
  5. That's a biggy Tom!!
  6. They buckle at the knotts!
  7. A firewood guy dreams of felling, a feller dreams of climbing and the climber gets the hot chick😃
  8. In your hypothetical attempt to get me Mark you did it wrong, simples!
  9. If it's wet timber, then don't do boards, they will look amazing then split and worp. If just wanting to mill, try big beams. Or to make good use. Stand them on their end on a pallet and cover the top and air dry for years then you can mill them into boards.
  10. to answer Mesterh, every tree is climbable, humans have proved this! maybe not by me, but if it stands and is made of wood, someone will get up it! as far as objects are concerned beneath, then there has to be a desicion made to avoid, move, protect or replace that object. Its all part of the assessment when you look at the job. If i get to a tree and the most important thing is to get it on the ground, then thats priority. Would i make th same desicions if i worked for someone else? no!
  11. you will be fine with weight and power, just educate the guys chipping to slow the rollers down for big hardwood or stop and start the bar, Holly and beech especially. brilliant chipper, i ran 1 for 6 years.
  12. Treemoose covered it, and i think you added an extra 0 to the age
  13. what size mog?
  14. to me its not about money or what he or she says, its about being the guy who can do it, getting up there and proving to myself that i can do it. Its about achievement, its the feeling of success and overcoming fear. theres no such thing as an unclimbable tree, there is such a thing as someone who doesnt want to climb the tree. And rather than just say they dont want to, its a blame game! if you say you are a tree cutter climber then say it when there isnt a tree you wouldnt tackle. This video is what every tree climber should want to aspire to, if you dont watch this and see what the basis of this job is all about. strapping on a set of spikes and monkeying up then go and get a job somewhere else and stop kidding yourself!
  15. good job, where abouts is this?
  16. Job was done over the course of a week, a few stops and starts due to weather .
  17. Everyone wants to be a tree surgeon until it's time to do tree surgeon stuff😃

  19. Well I slam that chain break on all day everyday, that's what It's there for. They cost peanuts! When you slip or slide on a big banking, it will be second nature and save your life or neck or leg etc etc etc!
  20. How often do you thoroughly clean the saw ? Brake bands break usually because there's crud in the way.
