  1. I dont like it tbh, its just feels abit fragile and under powered, even with a 10inch bar. My boss uses it as the weight saving helps with his dodgy wrists. He switches to a back handled saw as soon as he can, so the 192 dosnt get abused that much. I have an ms200t, i just call it an 020, force of habit lol i run a 12inch bar and it takes some beating. I love it.
  2. one on ebay atm.. Stihl MS192T chainsaw on eBay (end time 23-Feb-11 21:08:32 GMT) Been running a 14inch bar though, which is abit overkill imo. Ours at work runs a 10inch, i wouldnt want to go any bigger than that. Having said this, its the boss who uses the 192, i alway reach for my 020.
  3. They come up on ebay uk every now and again. My boss bought his on there, i think it originated from a spanish speaking country as the only writing on the saw was in spanish. We think...
  4. Saw you earlier in your cabster, going around a roundabout in yeovil. Dont know if you saw me in the black landrover 110 hicap.
  5. I can only drink cider, and those alchopop things. Cider makes me sleepy.
  6. Started at 8:30 this morning, meet at the burger van for 9. Meatballs and chips and cheese for breakfest. Get to site for 10:30, park up and watch houses being demolished by 18t+ digger until the guys turn up and collect the leftover fencing from this weeks tree roots protection fence errecting at around 2oclock. Once they were collected we could go home, deliver a load of logs once we got back to the yard. Home for 4. Best friday ive had for a long time! lol I discovered that when im bored i eat, and that doing nothing is actually pretty knackering..
  7. Wheel clamps and hitchlocks are easily worked around tbh, but there a good visual deterant if nothing else. You seem to have the right idea though, make it has hard as possible, slow them down. Lots of chains, concrete bollards, clamps etc... It may take you 30mins to secure at the end of each day, and although its a ballache its often worth it for piece of mind. You could alo fit a tracker to the machine maybe, so that if it does go walkies you have a better chance of finding it.
  8. Dear Joe, i dont use a rope, just use my massive guns to hold onto the tree. Many Thanks, Guns Sellick.
  9. Strugggling abit here, but doing whatever it takes to make some money. Do 3days tree work, but sub out to a fencer somedays, and also work as a delivery driver, and general handy man. "Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do..."
  10. So they say, i wasnt asked for any evidence of training when buying mine, and that was through a well known arbtalk sponsor. I dont think thats what causes it.
  11. Dont knock it, when my 200t is due for renewel i will chuck it on ebay and it will proabably make enough money to pay for a new one!
  12. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qemWRToNYJY]YouTube - ‪[HD] - The BRIT Awards 2011 - Adele sings Someone Like You‬‏[/ame] Adele performing live on the Brits last night, twas awsum!
  13. Yes, i would climb that. Looks like you have a nice drop zoon to cut and chuck everything down.
  14. I know of somebody who's large cannibis farm got busted after it was picked up on a heat seaking camera from a police helicopter, but i think like you say, they wernt out to pick up hotspots, they just came across it whilst on another "job" so to speak.
  15. Valentines day, along with birthdays and christmas is a waste of time, effort and money.
  16. ...and like there saws, the only thing thats good for is scrap Bet it weighs a fairbit!
  17. When you tell the ladies your a surgeon, and drive a mercedes. But just happen to forget to add your a tree surgeon and drive a rusty mercedes vito.
  18. Yh ive got it down on my van insurance i do 5000 miles a year times that by 4 and were getting close...
  19. Talking from my experience, i would say both! I learnt the "correct" way to do things at college, and then on the worksite i learnt the "real" way to do things. Combining the two work methods together and you have all sorts of tricks up your sleeve to get the job done. That said, theres no substitue for experience, and i learnt the most from watching experienced climbers work.
  20. I dont understand american football. So nope, il be in the land of nod whilst its on lol
  21. I had it mind the landrover wasnt really a big seller in america, they like there big muscle trucks over there! I was told the new defender would have a chassis based on the d3, but this wouldnt be for a few years yet. Saying that, that infromation was passed to me from a salesman at taunton landrover who was talking me through a "td5" he had for sale on the forcourt, which was actually a puma He didnt really have a clue what he was talking about! I mean i dont know much about landrovers, but i knew a hell of alot more than him!
  22. Any should be able to use a saw one handed, and if they have an accident then that just whittles the numbers down and opens up opertunities for others. I cut me finger one handing a saw but it didnt kill me so im still at it.
  23. Send a pm to peteb on here, he will sort you out.
