  1. I see you come form the plant hire trade. Do people think that if i hire a digger for the weekend, i should have been through training to allow me to do so? FWIW i couldnt care if joe public use saws or not, only time i get annoyed is if they come out and gloat to me that they only wear shorts and sandles when there using one.
  2. We plant extra heavy standards a fairbit. Digging holes by hand sometimes 3ft deep and 3ft wide all day can be pretty tough going. You can quarntee it wont be easy digging ground either! lol
  3. Was chatting to the stihl guys at the apf about this, it seemed pretty good.
  4. If you run a saw completly dry, it will take a few pulls to pull the fuel through the lines into the carb. I dont think there is anything wrong with your saw... You can hear when your saw is running out of fuel, i tend to switch it off then rather than let it run completly dry. Then once filled up with fuel you tend not to get the problem of it cutting out on you so often.
  5. Im sure that is true, i remember hearing it on the radio. They changed it because nobody was taking the test, and they were worried there would be a lack of drivers in years to come. At 21 people who had wanted to drive at 18, but couldnt, choose another direction/career. So by the time they were 21 and able to take the test, it no longer appealed to them. Something like that anyway...
  6. Haha Payed your cheque in mate, should be able to send it off to you tuesday.
  7. Rubbish, thats why i sold mine Cant be doing with silkys either.
  8. I make that £25,245 with my poor maths skills, so it could well be wrong.
  9. Thats a fair weight increase I can only assume this saw is going to be built around complying with emissions and what not, i dont hold much hope for this being a good saw if thats the case. But id love to be proved wrong
  10. Petrol might cause cancer so better not use that. Oh fumes from the saw do to, and the truck, and the chipper. Then theres sawdust, that could cause it to. Then there sunlight, that does. What i eat for breakfest in the morning probably will to. I understand your concern, and i dont mean to sound so flippant about cancer, as i have had loved ones effected by it. But i would not loose any sleep over what might be...
  11. It does not say in the assignment breif you need to use case studies? Is this for a ND Arb?
  12. My dad was my childhood hero, then him and my mum split up and it all went tits up from there. Me and my sister got used as abit of a weapon, they used to use us to score cheap points off each other. I dont see much of my mum anymore, and my dad has re-married and become a different person. (For the worse) Being out in the sticks abit i never had many friend so have always been abit of a loner. but hey i still have some good memories riding around on the tractor with him until i was about 12, then it went down hill from there. Maybe one day me and my dad will be able to get on like old times.
