  1. Greenmech should be willing to do a demo for you if your interested in one of there machines.
  2. How come you choose to paint the cheaspest and easiest bit on the saw to replace Rob? If somebody nicked that, for about £4 on ebay they could have it replaced with a new one!
  3. How do you mean cancelled? I know they are due to change the chassis design in a few years, but wasnt aware they were being pulled off the production line so soon.
  4. No more of an advantage than a manitou on this job IMO. If you had a hiab that would reach over the tree, you would have to get out there and sling then cut small bits off. Just drag it out with your manitou. No point in over complicating things, i always think of KISS (keep it simple stupid) Drag, cut, clear up, home in no time.
  5. Unfortunatly the police see this as a petty crime, you'll most likely get given a crime number and that will be it. We had a similar problem, except somebody was stealing red diesel, trecking across the field, over the litte stream, nicking 25litres at a time. Police just gave us a crime number, told us they knew the offender but he was to young for them to deal with! So at that point you have to take the law into your own hands.
  6. 2 days? Am i missing something? Looks straight forward enough to me, especially with a manitou to hand!
  7. Gotta love the vibrations on that thing lol
  8. Winch/drag it out, cut it up, home for lunch. Jobs a good'n
  9. Ive run out of scrumpy so going sleep now!
  10. We have a singlecab 110 puma at work, im 6ft 5 and i can fit in there, granted its abit tight but its not much of an issue! Only thing i like about the td5 is the noise it makes with a straight through pipe!
  11. Haha, i wont ask! This video shows it working! Pretty darn goood... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZZ7Fn9hR0c]YouTube - Defender 90 Film: L088 DEF 07MY TOW[/ame]
  12. The puma engine (yes its a transit engine) is great! Loads of power, torque, everything you need from a landy engine. Just dont try messing with it, chipping it, tuning it etc... a friend did this and thats when the problems started! The 6th gear is great, economical on the motorway, and the anti stall feature is pretty useful at times.
  13. Well as its my ms361 i reach for 9 times out of 10, would have to be that.
  14. This was for the xmas raffle mate, all done and dusted now. Will have to wait till next xmas
  15. I thought that to, but didnt want to ask..
  16. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-rJ-6hBfSo]YouTube - BOB MARLEY - DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY[/ame] Having a little whistle along to this, always puts a smile on my face.
  17. Not often i get to fell a big'un like that, but its gotta be the highlight of the year when i do! lol I would have gone for a bigger, deeper gob though. But like you say, everyones still in one piece, which is all that matters.
  18. I managed to get mine down to £1000 today, thats as cheap as im ever going to get it! 1 years no claims and 19years of age...
  19. We tried this at work, using a back handled saw in the tree. But we just ended up using the backhandled saw one handed, and even worse positioning as you could reach further one handed with a backhandle saw than you could with a 200t one handed, so this was more dangerous, and worse on your wrists. So were back to climbing with an ms200t and ms192t now, one handed operation all day everyday if im honest.
  20. I can only dream of being charged £500, my renewel is £1600! (Not trust) Hope you find another cheap policy mate, tried the usual, NFU and the like?
