  1. Come on then, don't nose take part
  2. You have to do two types of crosscutting, take of the bar and chain and flip the bar, and fell and sned a tree. You loose points for everything, and the rule book is about 40 pages long.
  3. Yep the full English. Tis a good day out, get to meet lots of interesting people
  4. I have never hear of them, pics please
  5. At a guess if you ave lots of brown ends it is one of two reasons: The fire underneath did not get hot enough, or you did not burn it for long enough, or both of the above. Good luck
  6. Details have just been released It will take part on Saturday 15th June at Clocaenog forest. Anyone interested need to ring Bethan Davies at RWAS (Royal Welsh Agricultural Show) on 01982 554411 A couple of pickies from last year
  7. Wot no banter ? Listening to you two is better than watching the telly. Microphones next time please. That is one of the best start to a video, what are you going to do to top that ?

  9. At a guess he is refering to your chopper (splitting maul)
  10. Maybe one is having a bad hair day ?
  11. Anyone ?
  12. How queer, Alder is one of my favorate to fell: Generally they tend to be the straightest, and easy to get on the deck. Just go to show one mans meat is anothers poison.
  13. The newer stein water proof jacket is holding up well. The fleece lined collar always feels dry. Overtrousers with braces stops them from decending around your knees.
  14. Is that breen down in the background ? Last time i was there was 20 years ago for an all night party.
  15. Did you not strip the gold lacker off so it looked a bit like the pro burner.
  16. First climb since febuary, see if you can spot which one ? And the view from the top.
  17. And there was me thinking that you were a chainsawing GOD.
  18. Thought about it, but not got around to it. Does that help ?
  19. It burn better than Laylandii, you need to season it to reduce the levels of resin, otherwise it its a bit poppy, and will tar up your chimney very quickly. The moisture content will drop in about six months if split and stacked, but the resin levels do take longer.
  20. The lidl have been brilliant, can not beat them for value for money. Also switching to mic setting is very good for sourcing unusual enginne noises, just make sure that the volume setting is turned down.
  21. If the ground is soft half bury 3 or 4 logs that the tractor can drive over pulling the skidded trees onto the half buried logs. You can then cross cut without burying the chain. P.S. it does not always work, but when it does its marvolus
  22. Dear god that is an unrulely pile of timber. Judging by the bleached wood on the top of the pile that has been there a while, at a guess 'there be rotting wood in the middle of the pile' Run away run away
