  5. Someone i work with has two 150`s. He seems to be getting bearings replaced regularly. About twice a year each!!!! Other then that they`re a fantastic little chipper
  6. Maybe they have have a few nice little jobs they could do aswell that make it a profitable day, maybe they enjoy that type of work alot so will work for less ( thats a big maybe in that case) either way everyone looks at jobs differently depending on what they can tie it in with and what they like to do and there circumstances in general. If i quote someone and they have already recieved a quote for silly money, i just carry on, tell them the standard of work they will get from me and keep my price exactly the same, leave and dont give it a second thought. If you here from them good if you dont, good luck to them
  7. Take the bells down and replace them with plastic ones

  10. Its probably only seen one drop of grease if any in its whole life time. Its the long reach blade that tilts. Its just the blade, when i fit it to a power head it starts and revs but wont make the blades move. Just seized up. I will have a look at the mechanism and gears when i get a moment. Failing that i will have a look at the pins. Can you explain that a little bit more for me, of the top of my head im not sure what you mean? Even if thats not the problem its something i can learn about for the future. cheers I loosened the bolts aswell by a few turns, maybe i could loosen them even more.
  11. Hope everything goes well for you mate.
  12. Morning arbtalkers! Have aquired a stihl hedge trimmer blade that is not working. I havent gone to town on it just yet but have done a few small things to try and get it to work. Coverd it in wd40, gave all the teeth a light tap with a hammer, greased it up and its still well seized. I need to have a look at the gears as there might be a problem there but other then that anyone have any tips or ideas on how to get it working again? Cheers
  13. I think that stihl have " control" issues!!
  14. Yes mate I no that buzz your talking about! Well done hope the tree world serves you well!

  17. I have trained at hadlow college and kingswood training. They`re both in the east and would highly recommend them.
  18. Nice little turn around! Thats re-installed abit of hope. The pile I have at tthe moment is minimum of 8 inches round to max off just over a foot. Lenghs are roughly 2.5 feet long. Some of it has a split present but i havent seen that much laburnem that doesnt have a split of some sort. i might do similar. Account for the whole pile accuratly in terms of volume then advertise it. Considerin i got payed to cut it down im sure ill make a profit of some sort! :-) Cheers
  19. Im 6 foot and weigh 11.3/4 stone. Fluctuate between that and 11.5.
  20. I always climb the middle then trim the sides either by step ladder or big a frame ladder. Have used a mobile scaffold tower before. They are handy and make topping hedges with hedge trimmer so quick and easy its untrue. But on the occasion you cant get the access for it but not that often.
  21. Thats what ive been told by some, then others will tell you its gold dust! I just been building up a little stack of it and now need to either flog it or do something as its starting to get in the way. Will phone a few wood turners and see how it goes. Just wondered what others experiences where! Has anyone sold a laburnem log for a decent price?. . .
  22. Nice one mate. Appreciate that
