  1. I have to replace my 66, i have the manual carb version and really liked it. I dont have alot of experience with autune but my 201t is and while a nice saw i have trouble with it ticking over and random start up isuues. I can live with it on the smaller saws that are easy to pull over but if it happened up a tree with a big saw thats something else. ? So curious on peoples thoughts, do they run well or are there other equivalents worth considering. I ran this saw with a 30inch bar. cheers
  2. Holly trees for me i think, the branches threading together is the worst of it
  3. Cheers Steve and Shaff really appreciate it. ?
  4. Afternoon all, Im looking for a decent steel lockable box to store my tools in. Ideally would be big enough for all the usual saws backpack blower and hedgetrimmers, ive searched the internet but havent found much. Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction. Cheers ?
  5. If you have know a few people who cycle locally download strava and get them to do the same. If your competitive you wont be able to get out on the bike enough.
  6. I had pretty consistent lower back pain before and so did my boss. The doctor told him his upper and lower body had a muscular inbalance and gave him some stretches to do, focusing on the core and glutes. He showed them to me, you could do them in the time it took to boil the kettle in the morning. That was 13 years ago i havent had a back issue since, not even a niggle. My friend studied sports science at uni and said pretty much all aches and pains in muscles and joints are muscular imbalances. The best way to solve it is pilates or a very well designed gym routine consisting of only core exercises, lighter weights being far more superior.
  7. First work out how much you need to cover your running costs, then add how much profit you are happy to make on that particular stump and go from there.
  8. What a lovely job, some real decent timber to work with there, Cool roping systems aswell.

    stihl 362

I brought the echo 620 to replace the stihl 361 about 21 months ago. Its a lovely saw, its still on the original guide bar and has worked flawlessly the entire time. Starts reliably and runs tank after tank no problem. There is a reasonable power difference between the two though, the old 361 stopped at nothing whereas the echo needs a little more consideration wen using the entire bar (18 inch). If you start a cut on a log the same as you would a 361 youll stall it, it needs a gentler introduction. I wouldnt say it was underpowered though you can add pressure once your in the cut it just doesnt like the first 10% off it ( or thats the case for my saw anyways). Its not the lightest either. All in all though a very decent and reliable saw, and If echo find a way to ring a little more power out of it in the near future it will take some beating. I brought there leaf blower at the same time and its been just as reliable.
  10. Yeah seems like alot of things have been thought of. Dont smash anything!!!!!
  11. No problem the one that works best for me is the benadryll syrup aged 6 and up, seems to be differnt from person to person though. Hopefully it helps you out
  12. Definitly try some anti allergy aswell, avoid the drowsy type ones they can make you feel worse.
  13. That sounds severe definitly see a doctor like Steve said, but if you havent already take some anti allergy tablets they could help with the headaches and tiredness.
  14. Ive used a dustmask every day at work for the last 6 years. On the odd day that it breaks im reminded just how horrible it is to be breathing all that in again.
  15. Maybe I'm not so set on blue tongue then only difference between that and velocity is width velocity is slightly bigger which apparently makes it feel like a bigger rope, sounds like either one will do the job well. and that's a vote for the tree motion then, so far its winning the race
  16. Cool i look forward to trying it tomorrow Ive got the gear I need to do it already. And I don't have any pics of my setup at the moment.
  17. Will take a look at the video cheers for the link, and definitely set on the blue tongue then have a pulley already and will look into a foot ascender. And the problem with my harness now is I pull the rope above the spider jack but don't have far to pull it before I'm at the device and at that angle of you can't pull into it easily. In theory I thought something with a lower bridge would be better suited. What harness do you use silky fox?
  18. Thanks for all your replay so far. That's a good idea about extending it up further with a karabiner and strop I hadn't thought of that, For long accents ( something I really haven't figured out yet) that would work a treat. I'll chuck a biner and strop on the list aswell. Do you climb with it like that all the time Wes?
  19. Evening all, Looking to buy a new rope and harness to help my spiderjack self tend better, I'm interested to here anyone's setup who has it mastered. Ive narrowed my rope down to Samsung arbormaster or Yale blue tongue it's the harness side of things I'm not sure on. I climb with a kolibri harness at the moment and the spiderjack is always high up in front of me even after adjusting but I here it's better to have it lower so you are pulling the rope down and into it which makes sense. Cheers.
  20. Either pm or send me a message on 07507562269. Cheers

  23. Those two teeth don't show the entire picture. If any of the other teeth are blunted back to the line then it's a finished chain if not it's got another sharpen or so left in it. I would keep it for dirty stumps, everyone's got one of those chains you know the one that sits at the bottom of the toolbox never to be used again and eventually meets its peril by way of rust.
