  1. My second pic. This was a big poplar that i reduced. It had 2 main stems and was big enough for me to dangle between them!
  2. My first car 1.2 vauxhall corsa 1995. Was the most immaculate car that im ever likely to own, had only done 35000 miles and i got it for £1200 not bad. Driving around with a 555 watt RMS fusion sub strapped in the back of it. The car didant roll it bounced! Good times!! Having trouble finding a picture. .
  3. My first pic. Nice oak tree take down.
  4. "Fine, take it!! Take everything, but you will never get my logs and wellington boots!!
  5. And thats the best looking guy fawkes that you could find?!!!
  6. What kind of truck do you have. Just a van for carrying tools or something that you can chip into and take logs? That will have an effect on your wage.
  7. Those first few trees have a nice level crown lift going on
  8. Ive found that it is alot harder to take the rakers down with a flat file on chains such as carlton. The file seems to slide over them rather then grind them down. No such thing with the stihl chain. Dont no if anyone else has found this?
  9. Would love a feature like that in my garden!
  10. 357xp or ms 361
  11. Sorry to hear aboout your father, admire your strength of character for managing to carve that so soon after. That is some serious ability, bet that takes a while?
  12. Always cutters first then rakers after. I never use any file guides either, learnt to sharpen without them and found that once half the chain has been used up the guide doesnt let you go deep enough to get the required hook for the hot knife and butter effect.!
  13. What a job. Fair play to you for sorting all that out mr ed. Gota beat topin conifers and trimming bushes
  14. I never sharpen a chain straight out of the box, never found any reason to every new chain I have used flys. But I also agree that a chain probably cuts better after its first sharpen. But not enough difference to warrant sharpening it straight out of the box.
  15. That is an interesting slide show! especially no.7!!
  16. You wouldnt want a careless user to put a scaffold tube through that thing by accident
  17. He actually did say that though, but after a few facts and questions boiled that down to 1 small overhanging branch to remove and a deadwood which i was abit more convinced by
  18. I was about to start work on a big T.P.O`d oak tree. Having a quick run through the job with the customer and he told me he had been giving permission by a tree officer to reduce the bottom half of the tree by 30% and the top by 20%. I wish i had a picture of the end result, it certainly let abit more light into his garden!!!: : Joke.
  19. beauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutifull!
  20. I`d like to see somebody nick my logs now!

    ash fell

Loved the sound from that one
  23. That just looks abit silly to me. way to fast, them being scared of it is slowing down the whole chipping process so they are losing the advantage of how fast that thing pulls branches in anyway. For log reasons that thing most have super duper duper fast stress control aswell.
  24. Anybody that does that sort of thing cant take any pride in there work. I dont no what height it was reduced to before but im sure the people would have been able to see from that window what had gone on?
  25. would you like a cold drink?
