  3. Dont you love working on trees that have been "buildered". my favourite is when using diggers they have directly tampered with the root system, especially on leaning trees. good times
  4. An i think because there are more and more companies starting up, price wars and cheap work the value of the job as a whole is dragged down directly affecting wages.
  5. yeah thats all well and good but garlic bread doesnt go with beans it just doesnt.

  10. My north face jacket is top quality. Its thin, light and totaly waterproof. If you have a jumper on underneath you wont need any other waterproofs no matter how hard it rains.
  11. in my head you either agreed or rolled about the floor fighting, end up in jail and loose the house. I had to double take at that post, I normally always say what I want to say but carry that mentality big time. Just recently ive been trying to put my finger on why i think that way and how to change it but im not having much luck I kind of thought that it was just the way i thought about things but maybe its more than that. Been a real eye opener this thread, just by reading it has made me realise a few things about myself.
  12. Spot on reduction there!
  13. Oh I take all that back then. Got the wrong end of the stick there!!
  14. Would you have been able to do that when you very first started climbing tho? I think when you first start off your best using your legs for climbing and thats it. Climb, rest then climb again the next day as your legs seem to take more punishment then anything else?
  15. Personally I would say that you should cut back on any physical exercise outside of work especially if you was going to start climbing often. If your getting quite knackerd while your climbing then if you did a 10 mile bike ride the night before you really are going to feel it. Your legs will be jelly in no time. Eat well, get plenty of sleep, keep climbing and youll start getting used to it quickly enough.
  16. I bet thats only in the uk aswell! Im abit dissapointed to find out that my 150000 acres of land doesnt really belong to me!
  17. If soemone owns a piece of land do they own it to the core of the earth
  18. Are zebras black with white stripes or white with black stripes
  19. Oh yeah words of a wise man!
  20. Oh yeah, reef knot for tying ropes together!
  21. I only really use two knots. The timber hitch and a running/normal bowline (or is that three?). I use the timber hitch for most of my roping down work. Quick to tie quick to untie. The bowline I climb on and the running bowline for wherever appropriate. Would love to know lots of fancy knots though.
  22. Im not so sure if its a good idea to have the internet wherever you go as you will never log off arbtalk again!
  23. Oh yeah my bad must be the 044 then. Well spotted.
  24. The 441 runs a 25 inch bar with no problems atall. All the better for being kept nice and sharp!
  25. Why do you always make more noise when you try your best to be quiet
