  1. Losing your car keys is frustrating as anything! Especially when you drop them out the tree which I have done twice. So lucky to find them as I had no spares atall!!
  2. Gutted, I would have been well up for that if I didant have something booked up for tomorow.
  3. Im not sure youd get too much of the good wood. Most people i no either do logs or sell the wood to people that do. How much money are you hoping to make from it?
  4. I think a tree surgeon has a much harder job mentaly and stress wise then a forestry worker. Working to a fussy customers spec on a big tree, breakage potential, moany neighbours, climbing dangerous trees etc.
  5. LOL! Not quite sitting infront of the bar just about to start on your eight pint with a good group of friends is it!!!
  6. What a wicked video and job! they looked pretty tall! Any idea of the height on those?! Cheers
  7. Quite funny, seems like quite a few of us sitting in the front room browsing between arbtalk and x factor! lol!
  8. Still abit mythed by your pirates comment?!
  9. Very watchable video that! great looking piece of kit!
  10. I dont understand where they keep finding these people that want to be singers from! I thought they would have run out of em by now, theres been a few series of it now!
  11. I just go fro the swing and grab option. Big swing out, grab any part of the tree you can, then a combination of pull urself in while slackening of the art positioner! A very enjoying and satisfying way to climb! If thats not possible i climb down and then climb up again. Not quite as much fun though!!
  12. Breakfast!!!! Whats that?!! A tuna sandwich on the way to work for me!
  13. I just cant get my head around it? what is the point in that?!!!!!
  14. Its got to be the beautifull oak for me! But silver birch and beech are close runners up!
  15. I would go for stihl 260 16 inch bar. Nice light weight saw, good on petrol, will run for hours hassle free. Theres not alot of bad points for this saw atall.
  16. If thats the case im moving to france and starting my own tree surgery firm!
  17. Only one of those i have experience with is the dyna. I like em, plenty of power and a good solid all round truck. They look pretty cool to with a proper made metal body on the back. Down side though is as people have pointed out about the size of the cab. Its so small, with 3 people its a nightmare. Just about enough room for two people with lunch stuff, coats etc. I would choose one truck above all the ones mentioned without giving it a thought but thats not what you asked for so dyna for me
  18. You said your worried about the missus paying the bills are you covering them at the moment? If you are then i would stick with it, going into a job that you know you wont enjoy will bring you stresses in other ways, the money worries will disappear but if but if your unhappy that can cause problems in itself. This probably isnt an option but is there any chance for you working for them part time, that way you could have the best of both worlds?
  19. And me, know a few people that would be too.
  20. My second pic. This was a big poplar that i reduced. It had 2 main stems and was big enough for me to dangle between them!
  21. My first car 1.2 vauxhall corsa 1995. Was the most immaculate car that im ever likely to own, had only done 35000 miles and i got it for £1200 not bad. Driving around with a 555 watt RMS fusion sub strapped in the back of it. The car didant roll it bounced! Good times!! Having trouble finding a picture. .
  22. My first pic. Nice oak tree take down.
  23. "Fine, take it!! Take everything, but you will never get my logs and wellington boots!!
  24. And thats the best looking guy fawkes that you could find?!!!
