  1. Those hinges didn't come out anywhere near as f***ed up as I intended them to be! It's not as easy as it looks! Anyway, no harm done. Well, apart from testicular hypothermia. Please Mr. Blair, do we win a prize for handing our homework in on time?
  2. Errrr... Just had aforementioned Ukrainian billionaire on the phone. He has been studying his CCTV footage and asking some rather awkward questions.... Notice how noone has slagged off our perfect hinges Rich?! Ain't no party like a lunge club party!!!!!!
  3. Or cut the wire next to the pole with the lopping head on your poles. After discussing it with the customer. BT are swindling cheats anyway. I've cleared loads of lines, but always make it clear to the customer that they don't have to do it.
  4. My snidey post was agreeing with yours Mozza! 10 cups? You, sir, are an amateur!
  5. Nice work Rupe. That tree was A LOT bigger than in looked in the first couple of posts! The 2nd one must be a monster! Looking forward to more pics.
  6. Pics of bigger trees you've felled in a oner today please gents....
  7. A professional is someone who does it for money....
  8. Clustered round bottom of sketchy Ash. 16" DBH maybe 50 foot. Took one stem down, felt shaky. Brackets are greasy looking, 2" diameter, deeeeep purple. Spread to ground growth within 2 feet of tree. MonkeyD (Dave), help! No pics 'cos phone knacker job!
  9. Most of you know me from posts. Some unlucky members from experience! Can we just make it obvious how we buy tickets? Steve?
  10. Should have gone to Specsavers......
  11. Ditto. Good luck with it mate.
  12. Fair play to them really. At least they aren't fully paid up members of the 'We love trees but it's spoiling our view' brigade! Looking at the place, and some of the cars, I reckon the stump will be full of - GOLD!!!!!!!!
  13. Stuffed an Oak log into the leg of an old pair of Hiflex and slammed an MS260 into it running full tilt. Cut in about 1 1/2", which is impressively little considering you'd be unlikely to duplicate that situation in real life. PPE rocks! I've never even nicked my keks, but two of my groundies would have been FUBAR without them.
  14. I'm getting better, but still drop a bollock just like this one now and again! Usually when work is slackening off for some reason. Must be subconcious, because I always try and keep my prices up no matter what. Least you got caught out on a decent looking job! Now if it had been a conifer hedge....
  15. Wow! Plane in France? Were there any signs of decay? I'll get my coat....
  16. Nice Rupe. Rigging plate has been on my wish list for a while. Come on Santa! Tell the guy on the saw in the last pic not to bend over too far. If he falls over with that much bling round his neck he might do himself a mischief!
  17. I would have been dripping sap, that's for sure....
  18. Agree you should pay your dues on the ground. Always feel the best groundies are climbers, and vice versa if you get me?
  19. I'd have safety shorts on though.... Skillfully done with no messing I thought. That butt held it's size right up to that treble. Can't imagine a 100' odd off spiking in that heat though.
