  1. Anyone know where it is on Freesat? Or is it not?
  2. Which insurance co. was it Dave? Might give them a bell tomorrow and get a quote for my truck. I will tell them it will be driven by a 15 year old with no licence so I can have a few sherbets. See how that sits with them. The hypocritical ****s.
  3. Stihl themselves don't class the 192T as a pro saw, which is why it is not marketed in the UK. It may be ok for amateurs to wield a topper in Johnny Foreigner land, but it's simply not done over here, Old Boy...... Looked at one in France this year. Was tempted (price), but it was clearly built with some of the same components they use on the kiddies saw with the ball bearing chain.
  4. Nice blue sky pics High Scale. Phenom, you say that tree was in a 'hogging' car park. Do you not mean 'dogging'?
  5. There's rain and there's rain. I'll climb in the rain if I have to, but I won't climb in the rain. My lack of ability to write words in italics may make this difficult to understand, but I'm sure you all know what I mean....
  6. My Saturday groundie is heading out to NZ at Christmas, North Shore, Auckland. He will be looking for work in the New Year. Anyone know of any companies in the area that it would be worth him approaching? Also any tips on making him more employable? I'm being his computer bitch at the mo because his firewall at work won't let him on 'the talk'. Cheers.
  7. Erm... You don't need any equipment to climb 10m up a tree. Just as a concept, of course.....
  8. I'll come down and do the digging mate. You can pay me in cider.
  9. Horrible trees mate. Good job the spec was 100% reductions!
  10. Sack the trees then. Get a job as a Calvin Klein model. That's what most of us on here did before we got ditched for getting too chunky.
  11. Couple of weeks on the 'Stephen Blair plan' diet should see you right, mate...
  12. I'll have what Stevie wants Ian. And raise him a pound.....
  13. Fell it. Take the money. You have my personal guarantee the house will be fine.
  14. MPTREE. Welcome. Do you fiddle your expenses to the tune of thousands a year and repeatedly lie in parliament then? Or is the name an accident?
  15. Thanks. I think. I'm trying to big up our favourite site and all I get is a load of p**s-taking and a bar bill for about sixty quid. Next time I'll sit quietly in the corner with a half of stout....
  16. Climber - R. Rule (met through Arbtalk) Chip tip - Garth MC Garth (met through Arbtalk) New chipper deal struck today - Bazbro (met through Arbtalk) Having the balls to put decent money on a job - Me (advice from Arbtalk) Cheers Arbtalk. What are you drinking?
  17. Awesome Stevie. Mind you, I couldn't understand what they were saying. Are they from Ayrshire?
  18. Rupe, let us know how you get on. EDF took 9 months to sort my last shutdown (Kent), and I spent more on phoning them than I earnt from the job. Be interesting to see how things differ regionally.
  19. The new Stihl BG86 is excellent. The AV is so good I think it is rated to be used for 24hrs a day or thereabouts! My old BG85 is a good little blower, but does shake your hands up on a big clear up. New one seems to have more grunt as well.
  20. Ask him what he thinks would be fair Andy, sounds like a decent, switched on lad. Personally I also think about £30 would be about right, but let's face it when you're 18 household bills aren't exactly top of your list!
  21. Good pics mate, but that is such a load of bollocks. Why not retarmac the frickin' pavement? Sad,sad, sad.
  22. Sorry mate, with you now. Approx 4" or less left round, 5" and above split. Just do it by eye, though. And how knackered I am!
  23. You're wrong anyway, numb nuts. If you cut ALONG the grain (like milling) you get powdery sawdust like flour. You only get curly wig sawdust when cutting perpendicular to the grain, like when halfing a big ring. So there. And what do you know about hair anyway?
