  1. Good luck with it mate. If everyone passed every time, the ticket would be worthless anyway. When you do pass you will have gained a worthwhile qualification.
  2. Rupe, if you play this one right you could be in line for some free chipper blades. I would never encourage blackmail, of course....
  3. Possibly Tony. I'm not very good at giving folk the benefit of the doubt these days. He's got muttons like a did, though. And clothes. If he has got learning disabilities his Mam should dress him better.
  4. Bet you're glad you didn't have to change the head on that little baby Tommer!
  5. Well why didn't you say! Good work fella!
  6. Good call Tony. Benefits should only be paid to people who turn up at the job centre every day and can spend their time actually looking for a job rather than watching Jeremy Kyle. Or posting on Arbtalk.
  7. Bling. You could use it to tie loads down if you ran out of ratchet straps.
  8. Some who turned up gave it a go. I can't believe the lazy mark bolams who didn't even turn up. Unbelievable.
  9. Am I right in thinking this only applies to your INITIAL purchase from the dealer, and subsequent purchases can be sent out? May be wrong here, mind. Good idea for a start up business though. http://www.facetofacemotorcyclechainsawcourier.co.uk My idea, my royalties.
  10. BBC1 9 o'clock - The day the immigrants left. They are going to pull immigrant workers off their jobs and see if the home grown talent can do it. You know the types - 'I can't get no work 'cos of all these immigrants.....' Well nows your chance! First up, apparently, is someone trying to replace this Scottish guy with an arb/woodfuel business, micro chipper and expensive culinary tastes....
  11. Get your bow saws out you heathens! Experiment with the VT till you get it right. Armor Prus helps. A lot. Phenoms avatar shows a perfect example. Mind you, you don't need one for stunt felling.
  12. Exactly that Stevie. Painstakingly slow.
  13. Funny, I love conifer takedowns. I just can't stand doing anything else to them! You do look a bit glum in that 2nd pic!
  14. Cheers. I'll let you know how it turns out!
  15. Put your recipe up please Rupe, I love houmus (?). Or is it like the X9 Coca-Cola formula? I think I may have spotted an attache case handcuffed to your wrist in a previous video thread....
  16. Blinding bit of sky there Stevie. Bit of a contrast to your job Andy. Nice to know you'll be back in a couple of years to take those pops down when the tops rot out! Gotta love reducing Lombardys. Not!
  17. Its a tough one Mozza. The only sandwich filling I never get sick of is leftover roast, but thats only ever on a Monday. Hot grub is great, but we like to have more short, sharp breaks, so sarnies are ideal. And as Rupe says you can eat them in the truck on the way home when you get rained off. I'm afraid the only solution is to have a roast every night!
  18. Milled an old Walnut log this afternoon between rain showers. Funky stuff going on in the grain. 4' beam, 12"x6". Want to make a wine rack with it, but still can't source an 80mm auger bit. Extendable cutter bits no good, nor are hole cutters or core drills. Any help appreciated.
  19. Nice one Yve. Paul - sounds mucho cool mate - any pics? Sounds like the rain in Spain is falling all over the shop at the mo!
  20. Happy Birthday Matt. Feel any wiser?
  21. Seen both ends of it. £500 to remove a bit of hedge that would literally have taken 4 Silky cuts and thrown onto a pick up. £100 to remove a Birch that we would have taken a day to do. They took 2 1/2 days, 2 blokes, all off a ladder. So, to add to all their other crimes against humanity, they are also guilty of INCONSISTENT PRICING! Huck and co. are right, though, concentrate on your thing, let them carry on making an a*** of stupid people's trees. It does grate a bit when work is as tight as it is right now, mind. Must go. Off out to knock on a few doors......
