  1. Ummmmm Craig had the only one I ever saw, it was from the states As far a LOLER goes it would be easier to inspect that a splice Work wise it was a lot bulkier than a splice, if you use a mechanical friction device it might be a problem
  2. That made me laugh, he pointed out the "Mercedies AG on the vehicle". I don't know how you could get more stupid than that. The AG stands for Aktiengesellschaft which in Enlish means PLC. It has nothing whatever to do with the vehicle specification. If the Germans were to use initials for AG in the same way we do I would hazard a guess that they would use AW for Agrar Wirtschaft The name unimog is one of these nice German composites, it's UNI as in universal, MO as in Motorised and G as in Gerät which means impliment (in this sense) So as a universal motorised impliment it can be either a truck or a tractor
  3. Apparently, so no science behind it then? What do these additives do to the rope and if it is damaging them why don't the manufacturers warn us about this damage? My ropes seldom see a second year, same with chainsaw pants
  4. Just out of interest, why is that? I have used regular washing powder on my ropes for three decades and haven't had any trouble yet
  5. Got given this one today I think its going to need some work:laugh1: [/img]
  6. +1
  7. How bogus can you get? At that rate most daily activities would kill you, jumping off a chair would be fatal and adventurous types like bungee jumpers would be pure suicide.
  8. Write the use of ladders into your generic method statement then refer any queries to that document
  9. That's not the new brand, its the old one Tunnissen were the manufacturers, they were bought out by sallen a while back The quick chip name was fletcher stuarts re badge
  10. He nearly got a @@@@@ for it too To be fair, it shouldn't have been there should it
  11. Nothing special, just a digger and grapple taking the grunt out of the job
  12. Air is by far the best. Blow it out from the back
  13. You are the king of flexothane:laugh1:
  14. You are asking for the impossible, fabrics that "breathe" can only get rid of moisture if there is somewhere for it to go. If its raining and running down your coat, the outside moisture level is at saturation point so the vapour has no where to go and stays inside your jacket. Most breathable fabrics cant cope with the sweat levels that graft generated on a dry day. You are going to be wet and cold from rain or wet and smelly from sweat.
  15. Its a flail, it doesn't have blades, it is a bit of a blunt instrument with clubs on a beater bar. (think stump grinder) It will take on stones and all kinds of crud if you ask it to.
  16. Just a word to the wise Trees in domestic gardens and recovering cars are not agricultural activities. If the powers that be decide your activities are other than agric, they can prosecute for the missing licence categories and suchlike
  17. Anything to do with a spitfire is on my list
  18. It might me even cheaper if you use a single pole double throw byt the beefier the switch the better IMO:laugh1:
  19. Yes one "ON" will give you a buzz the other "ON" will be silent
  20. Yes you can, you just need the right switch Properly wired this will give you indicator in one position and indicator buzzer in the other 20A 125V Heavy Duty Toggle Switch Double Pole Double Throw DPDT On - Off - On | eBay
  21. What's the chances of sacking off the defective unit and replacing it with a separate generic PR valve?
  22. That will be on the plate of the mog but I bet there is a mog'ite on here that has that off the top of his head
  23. Good find:thumbup1:
