  1. Its almost always where I left it:laugh1: On a serious note, its a good workmanlike tool. It wont take a lot of abuse but the answer to that is, don't fling it about. You work with what ya got and this saw has a lot more torque than the competition which allows you a bit more latitude on some cuts and techniques.

    That's giving your age away:laugh1:
  3. FFS do you think I don't know the difference between something someone did with a dremmel and the machines serial number? Its in Pic 6 and the number is 069140982, or something like that The point is the machine has a serial number
  4. Blind??? Stupid more like, the serial number is where the serial number is on all modern stihl chainsaws, if you don't know that much what kind of super sleuth are you? It ends in 0982 as far as I can be bothered looking
  5. FFS why are you bothered about this, what makes you think its stolen recovered??? Its even got a clearly readable serial number
  6. This is precisely why I highlighted this case. There has been much debate on here about who's insurance and so forth. This case is the illustration of the legal position. If you are freelancing, day rate, call it what you will, the law regards you as an employee and holds the contractor responsible.
  7. I have read both and I am none the wiser now
  8. And therein lies the fundamental misunderstanding You are under the "tacho rules" (drivers hour regulations) whether or not, the exemption under discussion is from record keeping. My heart bleeds for you, record keeping and such other onerous tasks. Is writing your name the date place and mileage really that hard? Do you struggle with the simple maths needed to work out your driven miles? Perhaps you just need to be a bit better organised like the countless others that deal with stuff like this on a daily basis. I know it wasn't a problem for me running my own truck and chipper for many years. You cant use "I'm not in haulage" as an excuse
  9. How is it different? They run their business servicing their clients needs by delivering goods. You put rubber on the road, you obey the rules of the road, look at the clown who caused death and mayhem when he put his vehicle and trailer on a railway line because he fell asleep, that could be you......
  10. I bet Stobart's run into that all the time, "hello Tesco's, cant deliver your goods today run out of hours", no wait, they just send a different driver rather than breaking the law
  11. This is all a bit confusing, if he is offering a 60/40 split' how can he be screwing you, he is doing all the work and finding a buyer for 40%
  12. MAKE YOUR MIND UP Or I will take it all off you and leave you a length of three strand nylon
  13. This is radical and a bit outside the box and probably a bit of a sacrilege but I did once come across a climber that cut a set of Bashlins down. Not to be done lightly but if you ran out of other options?? Glad you aren't a troll:laugh1:
  14. Or do you perhaps troll internet forums to get a rise out of people?
  15. I am guessing you have adjusted them to the minimum size?
  16. That's three for felling then
  17. Couldn't agree more:laugh1:
  18. Just man up and tell her its wood chip that pays for washing machines
  19. Take it back to the stem, you get more fire wood that way:laugh1:
  20. Its as simple as this. The Kask scoops up unlike the petzl because its a Kask not a Petzl. As a long time Kask user I haven't found it to be a problem
  21. A real man would be at the Railway Museum, and don't let your wife tell you any diferent:laugh1:
  22. That's not the ideal friction cord, I would go with something a good bit smaller
  23. Oyster, a moveable feast
  24. I have bad news for you, it belongs to arbtalk now
