  2. Giving up without trying is easy, its a lazy mans way out. David, don't listen to this nay sayer. OK so you have no tickets, when I started I didn't have any, mostly because they didn't exist back then but I would have gone for it anyway. Just put them at the top of your "to do" list for the sake of keeping legit, and because many customers will require it. No driving licence? well he is on with that. Ending in tears is sitting in your dotage regretting having never tried.
  3. I have always used a screw gate for my saw, I have never dropped one in better than 3 decades and I climb a lot
  4. I saw a firewood outfit using one of those to great effect. They wheeled the rings out as doubles then used the lift and a pair of timber tongues to get them on the transit, Much labour saved.
  5. You can use whatever is appropriate. A screw gate is fine, I wouldn't use anything without some way of securing the gate
  6. Check the pipes for de laminating.
  7. Oh dear...........
  8. No, that's a giant lolly, I want the job:laugh1:

  17. If the land is industrial there shouldn't be a problem Blagging it is what a lot of people try, the planners have seen no end of blagging so you will need to be on top of your game, in the long run its often less hassle and expense to find the right bit of ground rather than fight the planners.
  18. What's the land used for now? If its not got industrial use you could have a world of problems, importing wood processing and selling it is going to need planning consent
  19. Nice day for it. Tidy work, the bloke on the rope is dialled in.
  20. Yup I recon a second camera on a gorilla grip would give you the footage to make it all a lot more interesting than a simple POV job But then you need another memory card, and all that gubbins and it gets to the point where you are making a film about cutting trees rather than just cutting trees Well I ummed and ahhed about buying a camera so I guess I am in it now:laugh1:
  21. I think what's needed is a second angle to relieve the POV monotony I am going to look out for a second camera so I can attach it in the tree . Then you have to look at what you are doing. Am I cutting trees or making a video of cutting trees:001_rolleyes:
  22. Anyone involved in spam mail, cold calling and the like, I would throw them in with great enthusiasm
