Thanks for that Hodge. I'll go down the route of fixing existing then and not cutting it back and drilling new holes.

Hi, One of the holes which the bolt that secures the up/ down directional bit on the end of the outflow pipe (the big orange tube that the chip flies out) has broken away so now have no great control on where the chip goes. Is there a clever fix for this? Would cutting a few inches off the pipe and drilling new holes be a bad idea? Don't have a welder so can't fix that way. Any Help be much appreciated. Thanks

Thats me sold then. So on the chipper cut them into the line before the metal inline filter which itself is before the main filter? Why is it that machines and tools only throw their toys out when there is no time to fix them? Thanks to all once again. Dave

Thank you for all your responses, it did get up and running in the end this afternoon and stayed working for an hour and a half and cleared the brash pile from yesterday. Beating it with a stick seemed to help! It would seem the majority reckon fuel so I'll get some new filters in there. It gets me a bit that none of the filters are clear so you can see whats on. Are those clear ones ok for diesel Bob? Might pay to clear out the tank to as its now 10 yrs old. Barely got time to fart at the minute so can live without it! Anyone know a good mobile mechanic around Dartmoor? Thanks again, Arbtalk is a cracking place!

Thanks for the response, I thought that but it cuts out just as if the kill switch has been hit. Does that still sound like fuel, or electronic gremlins? Thanks again.

Hello to the Guru's of the ether. My chipper Timberwolf 150 tracked (2004) is refusing to play the game. It starts, if a bit reluctantly, will go up to speed but after maybe 20-30 seconds shuts off. This happens both on track and chip setting. The Hbox is not flashing for a fault, it was running fine 2 days ago no coughing or spluttering, not starved of fuel. The only thing I did was clean the air filter. Any ideas would be appreciated, in the mean time I think I'm going to go John Cleese on it with a stick. Thanks, Dave

I think I've been made twitchy after work mates wife smashing that bit falling from a horse. The only helmet that does protect the base of skull is the protos one.

Think it might be going back to where it came from! Just wish protos would sort themselves out and produce a good set of ears for their lids. Back to petzl me thinks.

Its my first move away from petzl in a decade and it just seems odd not to protect that bit. Can't see it as a problem until an accident. My work mates wife fell off her horse and bashed that bit of her head and has never been the same since. Just seems stupid. Very comfy helmet otherwise.

Not sure if this is the right place to put it but... Just received my new kask lid and am wondering if any one can explain why the helmet scoops up at the back of the head? My old petzl's not like it. I know I'm not playing cricket but the base of the skull is an important bit to protect.

The funny thing is we do have 2 top handles! But never to round to getting that fixed. We live and learn. Gonna put the old handle on the new saw and then get the old one brought back to life. Tried drilling it out but to no effect. just mildly dented the top. Where are you? Thanks for the help.

Yeah to small for removing kit unfortunately, can't get in there to drill it either. the sledge hammer is starting to look like a good idea.
