  1. You cant have a saw with no lube, it just doesn't work, hydraulic saws have a low pressure case drain to lube the chain.
  2. Alder is a bit fragile
  3. Just me being sceptical then, looks like a good project When I said break down I meant as in not working rather than for breaking down big timber:laugh1:
  4. Anyone else think a half cut log is an omen of a breakdown? Still, plenty to do there so what's a breakdown more or less? Nice project
  5. Or just don't swear at all?
  6. That is unprofessional and dangerous as well as being seriously unproductive. Tele handler with a pallet in the forks for me
  7. Have a look at the answers. The question was asked and answered on the first page but that wasn't good enough for the OP. Several other people explained the nuance of the insignificant difference but the OP either didn't listen or didn't understand. The OP had the situation clearly explained several times and if you don't understand a tiny difference in something as basic as a fairlead pulley....... I say again, telling someone they are a plonker is a long way from bullying and just because you say its so don't make it so
  8. Pretty sure someone beat you to that design
  9. Not liking the answer you get is a long way from bullying.
  10. Can I get that to go at Costa?
  11. Just spat mi coffee out:laugh1:
  12. Don't keep it to yourself
  13. Still, not to be sniffed at.........Ill get mi coat:thumbup1:
  14. Each country has its own rules so you might want to look there for what's allowed
  15. You aren't going to like this Just send it back and be done with it If changing something thing as small as a hitch climber makes the system unworkable for you, then you should get rid of it, followed by the rest of your climbing kit Be the man that says, "give me what you have and I will make it work"
  16. Its not unreasonable for the vicar to want a bit back but not at your expense Tell the vicar you have already paid and let them scrap it out
  17. Don't underestimate the ability or willingness of an insurer to drop you like a hot spud if their risk mechanics get even a whiff of the chance. Dot your "I"s and cross your "T"s
  18. You don't need any qualifications as such, if you operate commercially there is an entire suite of competencies' that you ought to hold, under penalty of HSE enforcement. See this for more https://www.nptc.org.uk/ Some training is advisable, compare the chainsaw ticket to a driving test and imagine trying that without some pointers. Some knowledge of pruning cuts will (ought to) be beneficial but I don't know how far a 10 week course will take you on that score.
  19. I would say its probably the other way The potted ones look to be in rude health they are likely to be in a good quality media and the free planted ones are in whatever they are in.
  20. I know that car, that is to say, I haver towed it more than once:thumbup1:
  21. I suppose it depends on the individuals skill level but its only a bit of mild steel welding and the judicious application of a big hammer. The flywheel might need ballancing
  22. I wouldn't read too much into that, the fiywheel is likely to have moved during the blade incident. I have seen bearing housings smashed, blades shattered, flywheels bent and any other damage in between, that machine looks like an easy fix to me
  23. Well I am not one for more regulation but as an industry we are relatively unencumbered (compared to some) by regulation. What regulation we do have often gets ignored by anyone that can get away with because compliance is largely self regulating I don't know what more attention the situation warrants, the powers that be will do what they will. If they think more regulation is needed they will inflict it on us no matter what, and chances are they will be aided and abetted by industry figures.
  24. It might seem that way if you compare it with a processor but for arb waste that cones out of a garden in rings its a good system
