  6. Most tree surgeons just cut trees, its what they know and the way to make money is to stick with what you know. For tree surgeons you get more money cutting trees, using the kit and skills you have rather than a fringe involvement with what is essentially another industry.

I think the manner of driving and maintenance has more to do with it, as a freelancer I have followed many chippers of all shapes and sizes to work sites and I am here to tell you, they all bounce, particularly over speed humps. Chippers are usually in use every day. As a category they probably see more use than any other trailer, often with frequent off road excursions. Blaming the problem on vibration alone seems a bit of a convenient get out for trailer people, In more than 2 decades I have yet to blow a damper.

    Thats a good old saw and certainly pre dates the net, it was probably obsolete before the widespread publication of stuff like that on the net. If someone here can't help you, try one of the vintage saw sites, they might have a copy
  23. Take the bar and chain off, sharp edges may damage the boat, particularly if its inflatable.
  24. Grease or powder? Grease will gum the mechanism up, graphite powder is the better option
