  14. Indeed you are correct but there is a get out, the HSE refers to "portable, hand-held, petrol-engine chainsaws" So if its a battery affair it can be as fast as you want and there would be no need for anything more than a stout pair of boots.

  17. As an aside, and since most of us like a ported saw, in reference to your comment "higher chain speed", how much higher? As an industry we do seem to like pushing boundaries with our saws so are we going to go getting motors re wound for that extra "ooooomph" When in doubt add power

There are plenty of people running small grinders that will deal with that, most will give a price based on pictures try stumpbusters, they are a nationwide outfit and will have a franchise near you They will want to know what the access is like, drag the machine up steps, carry it through the kitchen extension, that sort of thing
