  1. This.......
  2. Not to mention the fact you may also have killed or maimed some poor bugger. That would also be bad. Getting an IVA is simple and cheap, particularly considering what happens if things go wrong.
  3. And don't forget to factor the cost of the IVA in to the build budget
  4. Is the speed you should be aiming for
  5. And make one of them a driving licence that allows you to tow a chipper
  6. Too early, not nearly enough meat on that, needs growing on a while.
  7. I agree Brian is a good bloke, he then is from Oldham after all. He is a good presenter but then he has that showbiz background
  8. Well its a universal constant so you do use it even if you don't realise it. It is a concept anyone cutting trees will be familiar with even if they cant put a name to it.
  9. Yes but you cited him as the only and compared him to Einstein. That's hardly a fair comparison given that Einstein didn't have the "benefit" of TV and the internet. Then you go on to compare possibly the greatest thinker of our time with a has been pop star and now media personality. Cox isn't famous for much except as a media personality (which he does well) where as Einstein gave us scientific fundamentals such as E=mc2 I suspect the genius you refer to might just be Mr Cox's agent.
  10. Funny that, I thought he had made his money in a career as a TV presenter (Following his brief rock star career)
  11. I wonder why, not like you were accusing him of anything, no wait..........
  12. If its cut for the splitter the full chisel might be a bit grabby in short lengths
  13. A whole three inches? That must have been the "japer" on its limits How long did it take you?
  14. If you know what it is why would he need to send the number, cant you just call him?
  15. The Jugular vein is in the neck
  16. Ain't that the truth:thumbup1:
  17. Indeed, who does that? Taking some journalists fill line literally is folly indeed. A tale of someone doing the right thing by the wildlife and all you can do is belittle a well meaning person on a journalists say so. Bad form.
  18. I think you have the cart before the horse here, I didn't assume anything, That part was all hypothetical, we don't even know where the OP is up to with this or even if the machine is even financed
  19. That's fine, you wouldn't have to pay for it when the finance company send the repo men to get it
  20. Not sure what I despair of more, the people who write crap like that or the people who indulge it. Chewing gum for the mind
  21. If the machine is on finance, stopping the payments is just going to get you in trouble with the finance company not the manufacturer. Down that road lies a damaged credit rating.
  22. Inherently all 3500kg tippers are limited by thier low payload. When you add the 4x4 running gear the payload becomes practically none existent if you want to use it (legally) on the road.
  23. Done read too much into that, you burn what ya got and if softwood is all ya got..................
  24. As others have said its a Beech. The builder isn't taking care at all. The rooting area is significantly important and there is much compaction going on and that's not a good thing. Negotiate the cost of a removal into the purchase and hope it wont come to that. Look out for statutory protection, if not already in place it can be in short order. It will restrict what can be done to the tree and thus effect future sale value. Beware neighbours who can moan about light, leaves and all manner of stuff.
  25. Quite so but imagine how much better that request would have landed with an offer of a drink or suchlike.
