  1. That is soooo old school, the best part is when the phone pings with an email conformation if instant payment, lets the wife get about those bargains all the sooner.
  2. Its not about what I want to hear, anyone can post and the public decide if they like what you posted. You cant be surprised about the lack of response when your post consisted of one sentence and a couple of pictures of some half felled trees. You even had to be asked what species they were.
  3. Have you seen how many squirrels there are??? What's the surprise?
  4. You can weld it, you can ( could) even buy a new pan if needed. Try not to get any crud in there, probably important that bit.
  5. No it's not and no you dont
  6. Its a bit obvious when you think about it, you don't see it happening and if it were legal everyone would be at it Have a look at show mans licence for a bit of fun
  7. Not legal on UK roads
  8. I have seen Leylandi rings glue themselves together
  9. Fixed that for me :laugh1:
  10. I had good experience with Haix till I bought airpower gold, they were flimsy and lasted 5 months. Never again
  11. That depends on what you have to say
  12. Don't do that go to Roland Heming instead:laugh1: roland heming forestry and arboricultural training and assessment
  13. Free is just too good to be true
  14. Could be short of hydraulic oil
  15. Ha ha, no tracker, it had been missing many months, the dopey bugger listed it on ebay.
  16. I hear that a lot but never see anything to back it up. When my chipper went missing I recovered it myself, it was less than an hours drive away.
  17. Its definitely about the money, I like climbing and kit, and they are my chosen means to an end but they are a means to an end
  18. I see myself doing whatever the client wants done. A happy client means you are getting paid and its all about making money I have done some pretty orrid things to some nice trees over that last couple of decades.
  19. You need to be what the job requires of you. Some jobs need finesse, some need fast and nasty, you need to know when to do which.
  20. While I agree whole heartedly with the sentiment its made that way by .gov covering its arse and leaving wriggle room for lawyers
  21. Don't see the problem myself. Its only a guard and a couple of warning stickers away from PUWER compliance
  22. What he said:001_rolleyes:
  23. Spikes have come a long way since my first pair of "Irons" which I think were made by Michael Richmonds blacksmith and resembled some sort of medical calliper. They were not even slightly comfortable. You young uns don't know how good you got it. The secret to making most spikes comfortable is full wrap Velcro pads and proper adjustment.
  24. But surely that's where the argument falls. Insurers like a get out and if you aren't doing it "chapter and verse".........
  25. So now you want to go from inexperienced to young and inexperienced???
