  1. Any detail on that?
  2. What make and model is it
  3. The Zillon is CE marked as an assembly so must be used and sold with the rope approved by the manufacturer. Petzl did exactly the same thing with the Grillon
  4. Washing machine and whatever detergent you use on your clothes
  5. The no stress device is better called a speed control device. It monitors the speed of the flywheel, often with a dedicated monitoring device or some monitor the electrical out put from the alternator. When the flywheel speed drops below a set value the device triggers a hydraulic solenoid valve that stops the feed rollers. This takes the load off the engine and allows the flywheel speed to pick up again. Once the flywheel speed increases above the specified value the device resets the hydraulics to normal function
  6. Perhaps but while you can give quarter, life is harsh and wont give any quarter. A good and fair warning about the facts is valuable input IMO
  7. For the everyday use you will see no benefit for the effort and expense

    day rate

I would go bre and black grape with fresh filter coffee courtesy of my jet boil. And the rate would be a shade under the £200:laugh1:
  9. Google air burner and go from there
  10. The abysmal judgement is solely on you.
  11. Its not the worst jacket in the world but its definitely not sailing rope:laugh1:

What's on the sandwich and is there a biscuit in the offing?
  14. That saw falling into the distance looks really professional. Making money doesn't make you professional. There are plenty of others out there that could buy and sell your outfit and work to the highest standards without making "yee Haaa" vanity project videos of their antics for the internet.
  15. Loler as a whole does help people but it covers a huge amount of ground so when you apply it to a splice which is a tiny area of a minority industry it seems unwieldy. The people it helps are the ones who are employed where they might be pressured into using kit that isn't up to standard.
  16. If this were some random video on the net rather than a news report the comments would be completely different.
  17. Getting the vinyl off is easy just hat and peel, getting the adhesive off is difficult, by nature it bonds with the paint or lacquer and is difficult to shift. The worst part is the UV fading to the remainder of the paint, that and the adhesive residue leaves a shadow where the vinyl was. You can buff it out but sometimes it just wont go away.
  18. Its a Poplar, harder to kill than a cockroach. If its in good health you could knock it back to a pole in the middle of summer and it wouldn't die. It would be wise to let your client know that the tree will need maintenance pruning in the future.
  19. That wasn't "the impossible", it was the mundane in a pretty simple job, is just chainsaws and trees. The opening and closing titles were good though, they talk a good fight for you.
  20. Could it be a Hornbeam?
  21. That's a bog standard ratchet strap box, your local HGV parts factor will sort you out or go online HGV Direct truck and trailer parts online - JONESCO TOOL BOX 650 MM WIDE Jonesco JBX62 Tool box Side Locker Recovery Truck body tip trailer transporter | eBay
  22. Mine charges a fiver but that's every 4 weeks, he would need a round the size of the world to be doing 400 quid a day every day
  23. But the branches don't belong to the arborist they are the property of the tree owner, he can say he doesn't want them but can he disavow ownership? In the park scenario, LA's (an others) are fond of habitat piles, each one of which would be a breach of the rules but they serve a purpose.
  24. Errrr, if its the councils tree and their land and the arb is engaged by them there is no issue. Accepted but equally there is no reason someone should pat for the disposal of another's waste It cant be guaranteed to determine the matter but it will be a huge factor. Its a well established fact that the arising's belong to the tree owner
  25. Mate that's free advice from a legal firms website, couched to keep them liability safe and designed to get you to call them so they can start charging you, its not the law that you promised. The point here is that the arising's belong to the tree owner and, along with the tree are their legal and moral responsibility. There is no reason the neighbour should have to pay for the disposal of the branches, so the tree owner should have them back or pay for the disposal particularly when that can be a major part of the job.
