  1. good luck Ross, all the best for the future, i hope it all works out for you.
  2. good video, really smooth working crew, loved the lorry stacked neat with cord, someones ocd kicking in
  3. Before you go mad making changes i would be asking customers what they think, a bunch of tree surgeons want to see a different site from Mrs Miggens, who wants to see big tree picture as if by magic no tree picture and tidy garden. Customers are the ones you need to impress and get input from
  4. Looks good mate.
  5. Cut off age is 50 for immigration but I think it is 34 for work visa so he would need to immigrate to work. Unless the rules have changed and if they have I will go for a few months too At 47 unless he's a very good climber I don't think he could climb commercially by the look of the trees/work it looks like a young mans game.
  6. very cool
  7. cheers steve, thinking back i knew i must have been doing something wrong cause the saw was running rough on the optrex. The fumes of aspen stings my eyes, it seems i must have sensitive eyes to go with my sensitive personality
  8. does anyone have problems with it stinging there eyes? (i can assure you its not sweat running into them!!!) i was using it yesterday morning but went back to petrol and was ok. strange.
  9. put a couple of jobs in the same day and hire a chipper until you have enough for a better model. look at the greenmech cs100 threads or wee chipper threads these smaller chippers would suit your needs and they punch way above there weight.
  10. i have a commercial one through the AA they will recover up to ten ton so will get the mog if it breaks and up to a certain length ( i can't remember what) but long enough to recover a tipper and tow behind, never used it yet…touch wood
  11. I've only ever used one bear cat and it was terrible i would personally not entertain that chipper. save up more money for a better model.
  12. I would watch that one if you are in employment with local authority, if you hurt yourself they are in there rights to not pay you sick pay as you were working for another company, I also think you are meant to be paying class 2 contributions as you are doing part time work. Of course you could have fallen off your bike at the weekends ...... Just a heads up
  13. Neil, it sounds like a scam mate, if it's at his fathers farm in mull get the seller to get his father to take a picture of it with today's mulls newspaper on it and email it to you I'm sure all of a sudden his father is bed ridden. Good luck with it, money is too hard to get hold of without giving it to some scamming individual with questionable parentage
  14. That was excellent
  15. Nothing to do with me, it was mailed to me in case i knew of anyone interested in applying https://www.myjobscotland.gov.uk/fe/tpl_ScottishPortal01.asp?s=4A515F4E5A565B1A&jobid=193847,4954876548&key=48323314&c=342347567145&pagestamp=sebfqcgcqgdmuajlyr
  16. professional looking set up
  17. i work occasionally with stevie on bigger jobs and that digger and grab is an outstanding bit of kit
  18. Happy Birthday David, have a great day
  19. Thats awesome Geoff, regardless what you wear whilst on it
  20. Not ashamed to say i read your post through a mist of tears. so so sorry to hear of such a tragedy. condolences to your family. R.I.P
  21. Cracking job there hodge, made some difference to the garden.
  22. possibly witches broom mate. witches'-broom (plant disease) -- Encyclopedia Britannica
  23. After recently attending one of pauls AA workshop, i would say anyone that is interested in becoming AA approved would find it of massive benefit to get through the approval procedure. Personally i chose not to go down the route as i felt it would not benefit my business but i applaud anyone that gets approved. To the opening post, get yourself along to an AA workshop or pm paul for information, he is extremely helpful. His choice in biscuits was less appealing
