  1. As felix says check the controls, easily done by finding the heater matrix (usually behind the dash) and when the engine is at working temp put your hand on it and if it is hot it may be the controls, if its cold you may have a blockage or airlock, take the connections of the matrix and run a hose through it if its slow at coming through that could be your problem. expensive to buy and usually a horrible job to change them.
  2. it fits a road roller trailer, thats what i used on mine.
  3. That head seemed to fall forever. Nice work reg.
  4. Single with a roller shutter tool box, i hated the smell of petrol in the double cab even with a bulkhead.

  10. You will be fine, don't rush it or try to impress your assessor as they have seen it all before. good luck
  11. don't climb in the cold !! Mr Bolam you must be a millionaire by now do what i do and have most of the winter off, my hands never get cold holding the remote control in front of the fire
  12. Go to AC Price, the duckers are used front mount as they spin the correct way for the front PTO ( so i believe) you could use your greenmech mounted on a din plate but you would need a reverse gearbox to turn the shaft clockwise for your chipper. As per someones earlier post about a U900 with a front mount, this is a smart looking set up, although it does look heavy on the front to me. But shows you the adaptability of unimogs.
  13. you could always try this technique
  14. very smart. how does the crane store when you are driving, over the cab with the grab in the box or hooked on the front like a roof mount ? how do you find the 3 point linked crane is it stable enough ?
  15. i find it frustrating when you see someone busking that has genuine musical talent especially when we are subjected to absolute talentless idiots on the tv/radio that have the look but no ability. Excellent clip
  16. 3.15pm finish, perfect, go home and spend time with your family as thats more important than another tree job. its past, don't carry it around like a dead body. move on.
  17. excellent, there version of teen spirit is brilliant
  18. The way I've always understood it was up to 30% overloaded £300 fine, over 30% thats a court summons, i would imagine if they take the bother to put you on the weigh bridge they are going through the vehicle with a fine tooth comb and find something else. https://www.gov.uk/roadside-vehicle-checks-for-commercial-drivers/fixed-penalties

  22. mine, sadly I've decided to sell it as my work is moving in another direction. will be on arbtrader later if anyone is interested. most will recognise it so has a traceable history with loads of recorded maintenance. can go straight to work.
  23. The greenmech CS100 is an outstanding chipper and one bit of kit i would never sell, here it is on a job where i dismantled the full thing to carry it down stairs through a garage and into the garden then rebuilt it, takes 30 min.
  24. I've run a renault master tipper for a few year, carries the load well.
  25. i quite fancy one of them myself, looks handy. i wonder if any will be on sale at the apf.
