  3. Just started to take delivery of some nice timber for next years firewood, Mrs Treebus decided she was going to play on the Beech!......anyone would think she was on holiday!!
  4. Hi,seen vids of the Lasco type cone splitters for diggers/360's ..........similar but these are hydraulic driven i beleive.

  6. Thanks,yeah seen that,its in the US and not cheap plus there is the hassle of importing it/possible customs charges etc. trying to locate/source machine/engineering shop in UK that could manufacture one at reasonable cost.
  7. Looking into ways of splitting larger hardwood cord,just wondering if anyone has done this? If so what were the results/opinions? Also anyone know of a machine shop that could produce a cone to go on a 3 point link post hole borer? Any advice/info appreciated

  9. Rockports!....that takes me back! They were the best walking/action sandals at the time. I have a couple of pairs of Merrell's that i think are very good.

Way i do it is drop the blade protection cradle, give the locking nut a good spray of WD or similar,then chock the blade from turning with a piece of wood,get a big adjustatble wrench on the nut and heave!! :-) If you have any probs getting it off send me a pm. Sorry cant help with where to sharpen as up in Lancashire but it costs me 15 quid local to me. Enjoy.... PS if you ever need to change the belts, i know how.....if you dont already that is.

Hi All, I have Large pieces of Laburnum and Yew that are 5 year air dried.Ideal for wood turning/carving The Yew has some very beautiful red and purple colouring - please see pics and judge for yourself.... also pics should give you an idea as to how big these pieces are. Most of the Laburnum has been wax sealed and comes in various sizes - again see pics for idea of scale (5L petrol can used to give an idea of sizes) Would be such a shame for us to have to cut it up for firewood when someone could use it .   17. I have some nice big pieces of two year air dried Yew and Laburnum.............. Unfortunately i am in Lancs
  18. one just sold on ebay for £1,222!! Paid a grand for mine about 2 years ago....it had done very little work.
  19. Here is whats on my bench today: decided to treat my Dolmar 6400 to a nice new NWP big bore cylinder and piston which will take it up to 85cc :thumbup: Will run it in tomorrow!!
  20. Sachs Dolmar 111,still going strong but could probably do with new rings as compression a bit low now........that one to blame for the rest of the collection!!
  21. Got the x25 and more recently the x27........superb splitters/mauls....wouldn't use anything else....... apart from my hakki pilke eagle
