  2. Dont think thats really fair i have bought and sold a fair bit of stuff on ebay over the years(ok,never a chipper!) I have 100% feedback,unfortunately i probably think that everyone is as straight up as i am To be honest i have only got burned on two occasions i can recall.

  4. I have a couple of pairs of the old Stihl type (made by Elten) they seem to be bomb proof and reasonably comfy,also have a pair of Haix Protector Pros which are like slippers! But i tend to save them for when its really wet or boggy.

  6. After processing 27 ton of larch last year i agree with hullsmillfarm re splinters! Larch tends to give off tiny splinters that annoy you like mad but you cant see them unless you look real close.........moral of the post is wear gloves

Well i have some nice Laburnum and Yew,air dried under cover for at least 24 months....thinking i would save it for the woodturners,who maybe give me a fair price for the gorgeous wood that it is/can become,and especially after storing it for so long After reading the last few posts i am tempted to just burn it!!

  10. I have a Fiskars Super Splitter with 4lb head.....its superb. Got it from Westfalia online,last time i looked they appeared to have stopped stocking the Fiskars range Ecolojim...are Westfalia re-releasing the fiskars range? Have you contacted them? and if so what did they say?
  11. Mmm,just checked Westfalia's website,cant seem to find it.....im wondering if they stopped doing them as they seem to have a new range of mauls/splitters :thumbdown:

  13. On a long flight out to Borneo to do some scuba diving my better half was playing Who wants to be a Millionaire quiz to while away the hours. She got stuck on a question and asked my advice......... The question was:- Which mountain should the goverment be concerned about? The answer options were:- A Ben Nevis B Mount Snowdon C Everest D Butter Mountain She turned to me and said......I dont know where Butter Mountain is!! :lol: :lol:

  16. I have had a quick look at this and seems its only for low profile chains .....but i have been known to be wrong
  17. That made me chuckle! I am a recent convert to Larch after having burnt hardwoods for about 5 years.....very impresssed with the heat seasoned Larch gives off, and indeed how long it lasts in the stove. Logbaron.......my better half laughs when the stove is belting out heat cos i have to remove myself to the other living room!
  18. Can i ask what size your bottom link arms are? my fittings are cat 1. ie are they on compact or full size tractors and do you know if there is a difference,cos i dont want to order them if they dont fit

  20. Ok i give, in yours is MUCH bigger than mine ,yes im not dealing with 5t,but its still a pain in the butt swapping from log splitter/Hakki PIlke Eagle/pallet forks/trailer and i am just trying to make things easier......my back isnt getting any younger!!
