  1. Same as above,but only bought one through ebay......was always dubious about vehicles on there but saw a van on there over twelve months ago and touch wood its been a cracker........but i did go and kick tyres and see it/test drive before handing over cash..........

Had a Villager for 4 years now and its taken some abuse,burnt tons and tons of wood....no probs so far other than replacing consumables ie stove rope,fire bricks and i can shut it down overnight! Just finished installing an old Coalbrookdale that i got for a bargain on Fleabay in another room so gonna be toasty this winter :thumbup: Ps both stoves are cast iron!!

  9. I actually phoned M Large as i was struggling to find the size,same as you. Problem was they told me A35,which i knew was wrong, as i had measured the top width of the belts previously The size of belts you need is B35,it does give you belt size in the spare parts list downloadable from M Large website.Have fun changing them,its a bit of a pig,if you need any help give me a shout.
  10. Mine did the same a couple of weeks ago,got mine off ebay item no 200496750882 worked out about a tenner for both inc postage,i would think M Large would be dearer but dont know for sure

  13. prices and availability for the x27 seem ridiculous in the uk,i have the x25 or super splitter as it was known before the re branding that Fiskars have undertaken in the last year or so.I thought at first it was too short in the handle length,but you soon adjust and it is the best and only maul i will ever use now.   14. Snapped the drive belts on the Hakki Pilke Eagle after tightening them too much ,minor but still a "break" Good job i ordered some spare belts last week
  15. I have had a Fiskars Super Splitter(now called the X25) for about 3 years, absolutely brilliant :thumbup1: wouldnt even think of using anything else.

Hakki Pilke Eagle and compact tractor plus 2 operators for hire within 20 mile radius of BB7,further by negotiation,will not hire out without operators,output dependant on type of timber,hire rate 200 quid a day plus fuel,any enquiries,questions pm me or ring 07790662137 Regards
  18. Ok,thanks,contacting M Large was going to be my plan B,was just wondering if anyone on here knew the sizes off the top of their head and had replaced the belts so they could "talk" me through before i start pulling it to pieces
  19. Hi all,time has come to change the belts on my Hakkie Pilke Eagle pto driven splitter/saw bench.Does anyone know the belt sizes that i need and also any guidance for changing belts?? Cheers in advance
