1. We have a flail mower which we use on a Volvo EC25, it works fine when flailing but you cannot slew and flail at the same time. However, I am sure a grinder would be fine as you obviously will not need to slew to any great extent when using the grinder.
2.
How much are you looking for, I guess your in sandbach?.

3. I have an artic load at Claverley. All processor size, 75% soft - 25% hard
4. That's quite true but Ashcrofts have the answer to all those problems. It looks like a good idea to have that much power but I think I would want to see it in the flesh first, it's a very tight fit. I had a RRC with a 6.5 GM engine which had loads of power and fit realy well but it ate gearbox's.
5. agg221 was first to reply so I am just waiting to see if he collect's.
6. Wolverhampton, I will be in Taunton some time within the next two weeks or I could post a section down for you if you cannot get fixed up locally. I dont want anything for it.
7. I have quite a bit (about a Land Rover load), approx 4 years old and most of it 4'/5' long x 2"/4" dia.
8. I have an artic load available, all processor size, WV5 7AX. It;s 8 miles from Bridgnorth towards Wolverhampton
9. Get to the back of the queue, we are first:thumbup1:.
10. You can mount the winch into the existing bumper if you can fabricate and weld but it's easier to buy one a bolt it on, a winch and winch bumper new would be around £700. You can buy a winch tray which makes the job a lot easier. The best value winch is without a doubt the TDS Goldfish @ £350. 11. We have some conifer, it's free if anyone would like it. Approx 10 tonne.
12. I have this which I believe is from a 110 IIRC, I can measure it if your interested. 2013-04-28 12.25.41.jpg
13. In all my years I have never had a site visit from a TO under these circumstances. I believe most TO's like to be aware in advance when work is going to happen so they are in the know when the phone rings and complaints start. I have worked on trees when you can almost guarantee some one is going to complain, some folk seem to do it just to stir a bit of trouble.
14. Your application should have been a notification, has it run the 6 weeks or are they refusing it because they need more information. Do you have a letter from the LPA saying they have accepted your initial 'application' which will be when the 6 weeks start.
15. Ian is the man, only in Kingswinford. WestMids4x4
16. I have this saw mill.jpg It's been in the shed for close on 20 years, I bought it with two stihl power heads which I still have and use a felling saws. I think I have the chain knocking about some where for it, if anyone is interested and can collect then you can have it (but not the powerheads).
17. Very brief description, no operators license in the window, travellers truck?. Cant quite make out the milage I think 316,911. I would guess the carrying capacity would be around 1.5 tonne or maybe 2 at a push. Not worth trying to nick it unless you take some diesel with you, the red light is on.
18. Paul I think the guy in the original post may be sorted by now:thumbup1:, it was five years ago. Bob
19. We are based more or less in the middle of the country and so far this year we have been Evesham, Worcester, Coventry, Solihull, Cardiff, Oswestry, Bethesda, Wrexham, Stoke, Derby, Hull, Doncaster, Melton Mowbray, Norwich, Towcester, Lakes, Liverpool, Bristol and surrounding area. All were quotes.
20. Ward.S, many thanks, that's exactly what I was after.
21. What I am after if possible is a reference to the paragraph within BS, assuming it still exist's. The old one, BS 3998 : 1989 13.7 said, Pollarding, which in some circumstances has been a traditional form of management, should not be used on trees that have not been previously pollarded. This therefore means it's acceptable as long as it's not the first time. I am sure my copy will turn up one day so just need to clarify for now.
