  1. Sometimes its the best way. Make sure you wear a stein jet pilot lid and then you look like a pro.
  2. ....or maybe you could make some hugh stilts...
  3. Surely any false attachment you could make would need to be removed afterwards, which would require a ladder.
  4. I think maybe ladder and strop is best. False anchors, topping strops etc are always going to be awkward

  9. I`ve been using it like that for 4-5 years and was advised of that by a rock climber of 20 years experience and also a loler inspector. I`ve never found it necessary. How people set it up is up to them of course but i think if it was intended as a spring it would be heavier. Just my thoughts though. They do slide sometimes but only when the cam is caught.
  10. Yeah, i think given the choice of try out celox or me or someone else loosing blood by the pint i might go for the "lets give it a go" approach.
  11. The wire is there so that if you are 200ft up a cliff and need to switch it to a different rope by removing the nut you don`t drop it. For tree stuff its not essential. Just take it off. It doesn`t affect the function or safety.
  12. NICE! No chain brake, no front guard to speak of. I want one.
  13. Its got to be a hedge row hawthorn. The thorns, the pain, trying to force it through the chipper, more pain. Then comes the puss filled wounds. Love it.
  14. Alot of courses seem to have rocketed in price. I paid £900 to do the merrist wood 10 week course about 7 years ago. But its a great course.
  15. The first one looks like silver leaf Chondrostereum purpureum.

  18. Spend a bit of money Ian. You will get a better job and it will save you LOADS of hours. I did my own first web page on googlepages, i spent days and days literally doing it. The new one i have (still in progress) i paid £200 for. Its optimized and way better than the one i did myself. There is a link from my web page to his but Peters one look first class, maybe try his guy. Its well worth it.

  21. You could go up anually with a hedge trimmer and keep the little ball nice and neat. Maybe shape it into an animal or something. It would look splendid!
  22. i have seen some chain oils turn to jelly when mixed but most of the time its fine.
  23. Its best if you do anchor text link. eg if you main key word is "horse logging shropshire" then write that, highlight it, click on add link, enter your url. Thats way better for search engines.
