  1. As stated You can use a chainsaw without a ticket as long as you are under supervision just the same as a newby climber can practice under guidance as long as the supervisor has the rel tickets. I suppose just like a learner driver. Insurance issues to a point and as well some contracts that ive signed have stated everyone has to be trained for their task You can use it in garden and own land etc for own use If your capable of graft reliable etc you will have no problem (when a door opens) getting experience and maybe a long term prospect. only downside is you may have picked up some bad habits along the way that may need squashing..... Good luck mate
  2. You should have an 'emergency procedure' at least ?? especially if less than 5 eg location/address meeting point nearest road junction local hospital access 4x4 air ambulance landing area contact numbers on the front seat/truck so if it does go pear shaped it is clear and concise as time may be a major factor and it will save anyone from getting into a flap giving clear and concise instructions and if you are on your todd a worker should be in contact at set times to prevent unseen accident unnoticed
  3. Sorry to hear...... Car boot season on its way lighter evenings and wandering eyes. Got done a couple of years back but found my stuff a day later being sold at local car boot.....sweet ! Not been touched since 'touch wood' which by luck happens everyday. mmmm If it does I got the blokes address and will just take it out on him again.......... Time to dust off my traps me thinks

  6. I could remove the fuse and job done but the mot station will want to see it light with the turn of the ignition then go out as that was all it failed on ! good try though
  7. Cheers for reply I may ring up 'grays' on Monday and try and order some and see what they tell me. surely if It did there would be tell tale wire from the back of each brake disk...? hey ho the joys !!
  8. Any advice......? Got and abs and brake warning light staying on, replaced brake pads all round and brake wear sensors, still the lights stay on !? the servo is fine no leaks anywhere in the system the truck stops on a penny passed mot bar these warning lights checked reservoir and no sticking at float etc........ also load braking system on back axle I went to 'grays truck' and the parts bloke looked up sensors for abs and said it didnt have any but the workshop said it was the sensor on the phonic wheel, I understand what it does and where it is supposed to be. Downloaded a manual and on the bigger trucks they have phonic wheels but no mention for the 35c Question : Am I going mad , can any one tell me for sure if I have a 'phonic wheels ???? surely if I did, there would be more than the brake wear sensor wire out of each wheel to send the info to my ecu...? cant see anything when I remove brakes but before I get the right size hub socket and remove disk can anyone confirm? or is it just a case of getting ecu reset ye old arbtalk font of knowledge
  9. Had all the 'tough' phones broke all of them samsung solid 2 was a good phone but got I phone 4 since august only had to replace it once and don't worry as I have it insured ,got replacement delivered next day. worth paying for insurance as never will miss any calls or lose any business and have a mobile office Was buying replacement (about 4 a year) phones of 'debay' and it turned out false economy as it cost more than insurance over the year and had times without a phone, you sure miss em when you don't have one

Back in the 90's I was asked to fight for England sounds grand but there were only a few doing it then ,lucky if they will let me sweep the floor now. 16. Husqvarna King all the best for 2011 and hope you get up a tree soon... Been a funny year ripped ligaments in my shoulder in march so slowed me down a bit, started to go for different routes as I knew my main field of work was going to slow down due to lack of grants etc and it has paid off changed my truck and work seems to be coming in just have more doors opening and a broader client base. Got engaged and then not ! had a couple of holidays have my health and a cracking new lady So 2011 who knows what it will bring but I am ready, flexible and not set in my ways and always looking for a niche
  17. If they will pay to strip ivy( it would look different and let light through so its not a black dark mess) that's one route ,tell em on the understanding that it may then show some hidden dangers ie weak unions ,cavities but unless you cutt the ivy at base and leave it to die back a bit it will be a bugger of a job but then you be able to make a better judgment on the trees health and open options ie reduce /fell etc They then themselves retain tree you get work with the possibility of more later on if it is doomed or they/you then decide to go further Fell = you only will get paid once Bear in mind nesting season will be just round the corner
  18. If my memory serves me well and I may/will be corrected, if you mean with regards to 'high hedges act' any thing over 2m and any more than two planted together can be regarded as a hedge
